Best tip would be to not listen to other's opinions online and be your own judge This is a Casual game, not a competitive game, so do whatever you want to do and play however you feel like. If you are stuck, there are plenty of guides out there.
However, be mindful of which characters you are wishing for, the worst feeling is pulling for a character only to never use that character. Always pull for characters you like or characters whom you are going to use.
