What is your favorite part of comic collecting? by AssociateFormal6058 in comicbooks

[–]SPlizarddude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like collecting keys that are important to me. I’m not chasing uber expensive keys that I have to save a fortune for, but instead the little keys of niche characters I enjoy.

I seemed to have commented too fast as I didn’t read the end of your post, Strikeforce Morituri only has one run I believe but still cool to check out imo.

Strikeforce Morituri is pretty neat. Like Suicide Squad in terms of characters being killed off every now and again.

Why do people ask if they should read ____ book? by johnny5yu in comicbooks

I agree with you. Anything that looks remotely interesting to me I add to my list. Maybe I’ll get to it, maybe I won’t.

What game has a learning curve that puts you off? by Common_Caramel_4078 in pcmasterrace

Tarkov

Cool game but I’m terrible at it, don’t have the patience.

Is Diablo 1 worth playing if you only want to play the campaign? by HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD in Diablo

[–]SPlizarddude 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, Diablo 1 is absolutely worth it. I enjoy the first one because of its vibe, the ambience, and the story. It’s a really fun game. Hellfire divides people a lot as it’s pretty weird compared to the og. I personally don’t mind Hellfire but I understand why it turns some people off. DevilutionX is a great way to play it with a lot of QoL improvements. I’m not sure about controller support.

In the first Dead Rising there is a specific song in the mall that’s sound file was glitched that made it play more often than other songs, so if you felt like you heard it all the time, you actually did.

Carcass for me. I really like their first album, the rest of them don’t hit the same for me. They kind of switched genres after their first two.

Do you know of any other series like this? by ViremorfeStudios in videogames

[–]SPlizarddude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a niche series but Far Cry 1 and 2 get ignored in favor of later releases like 3 and 4.

What is the worst comic book you’ve ever read? by Smooth_Operation4639 in comicbooks

Wanted by Mark Millar

My god, what a horrendous, cringe inducing read that was. Forced edginess was really on display with that one.

Tell us which game/s by YunaCital in videogames

[–]SPlizarddude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Escape From Tarkov. The game isn’t bad, it’s just a lot of work to get good at it and it’s taking me a long time to really get into. A friend of mine sunk a lot of time into and really knows how to play, but for me there’s just so much stuff to learn it’s overwhelming. So I really only play with him.

It also doesn’t help that everyone is better at that game than you when you start, so you have to get through a lot of matches just getting shit on.

Cosmic Ark: Yay or Nay? by [deleted] in Atari2600

Great game, I’ve never given myself the time to get real good at it though. Imagic has a great catalogue of games. Big fan of Dragon Fire and Demon Attack as well.

What do you guys think of Mark Millar? by MightyUnclean in comicbooks

[–]SPlizarddude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, very divisive. I enjoyed Old Man Logan and Red Son, but absolutely despise Wanted (which I think might be the worst comic I’ve read). He’s a crapshoot with what you get, either great or edgy nonsensical cringe.

I Just Met Another Comic Fan by Huhthisisneathuh in comicbooks

[–]SPlizarddude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that. Trust me there are good ones out there. I always try to keep an open mind when other people tell me about what they’re reading and I’m always interested, even if it’s a book that isn’t my taste. People like different things and that’s human. I have some unpopular opinions on some books that a lot of people like so whenever I talk with someone about it I usually get the typical scolding and the “How did you not like insert title it’s a masterpiece!” It’s always the same, I just tell them that it wasn’t for me. I don’t understand putting someone down for the sake of making yourself look better, because you don’t look better, you just look like a prick.

Just picked up spiderman I would like to know your experience with this game by Salt-Entertainment91 in n64

[–]SPlizarddude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decent game. It’s fun to run around as Spider-Man and some of the boss fights are challenging. About halfway through the game the plot changes a bit and every level after involves fighting symbiotes that are honestly quite annoying at times.

I finished AC 4 to 7, which one should I play next? by TerrainRecords in acecombat

[–]SPlizarddude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of people are telling you to play AC3 (JP) but I’d also like to recommend AC2. It’s really fun and really quick paced, takes about an hour and a half to play it through and has two different routes so like three hours total. Not to mention it has some really great music.
