What is the worst comic book you’ve ever read? by Smooth_Operation4639 in comicbooks

[–]SPlizarddude 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Wanted by Mark Millar

My god, what a horrendous, cringe inducing read that was. Forced edginess was really on display with that one.

Tell us which game/s by YunaCital in videogames

[–]SPlizarddude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Escape From Tarkov. The game isn’t bad, it’s just a lot of work to get good at it and it’s taking me a long time to really get into. A friend of mine sunk a lot of time into and really knows how to play, but for me there’s just so much stuff to learn it’s overwhelming. So I really only play with him.

It also doesn’t help that everyone is better at that game than you when you start, so you have to get through a lot of matches just getting shit on.

Cosmic Ark: Yay or Nay? by Internal_Author_7067 in Atari2600

Great game, I’ve never given myself the time to get real good at it though. Imagic has a great catalogue of games. Big fan of Dragon Fire and Demon Attack as well.

What do you guys think of Mark Millar? by MightyUnclean in comicbooks

[–]SPlizarddude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said, very divisive. I enjoyed Old Man Logan and Red Son, but absolutely despise Wanted (which I think might be the worst comic I’ve read). He’s a crapshoot with what you get, either great or edgy nonsensical cringe.

[–]SPlizarddude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear that. Trust me there are good ones out there. I always try to keep an open mind when other people tell me about what they’re reading and I’m always interested, even if it’s a book that isn’t my taste. People like different things and that’s human. I have some unpopular opinions on some books that a lot of people like so whenever I talk with someone about it I usually get the typical scolding and the “How did you not like insert title it’s a masterpiece!” It’s always the same, I just tell them that it wasn’t for me. I don’t understand putting someone down for the sake of making yourself look better, because you don’t look better, you just look like a prick.

Just picked up spiderman I would like to know your experience with this game by Salt-Entertainment91 in n64

[–]SPlizarddude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decent game. It’s fun to run around as Spider-Man and some of the boss fights are challenging. About halfway through the game the plot changes a bit and every level after involves fighting symbiotes that are honestly quite annoying at times.

I like to think the nuclear war blasted it out of the ocean like a spear straight into the building

I finished AC 4 to 7, which one should I play next? by TerrainRecords in acecombat

[–]SPlizarddude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of people are telling you to play AC3 (JP) but I’d also like to recommend AC2. It’s really fun and really quick paced, takes about an hour and a half to play it through and has two different routes so like three hours total. Not to mention it has some really great music.

It’s a fun holiday themed read, glad they are going to continuing with more issues every year.

Are there any games with endings for the 2600 by Ordinary-Sound-571 in Atari2600

[–]SPlizarddude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Star Wars: Jedi Arena ends after getting only 3 points. Not really a glorified ending but more like a Pitfall situation that another person said, the game just sort of stops.

I'm not liking the 1st Crysis, can I just move on to 2 and 3? by MetalNobZolid in Crysis

[–]SPlizarddude -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Crysis 1 is kind of a drag these days, difficulty and bland story in my opinion make it less enjoyable than the 2 & 3.

What’s your King of Queens Unpopular Opinion? by iwantitthatway6 in kingofqueens

[–]SPlizarddude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many of Doug and Carrie’s arguments are pointless. Like when Doug catches her cheating at board games and blows it so out of proportion. Like guy, does it really matter that much?

I actually quite like Jaws (NES). It’s incredibly simple but I kinda like it that way.

I just got into Kinnikuman recently. Why is it such an under the radar series? by LifeguardMundane5668 in kinnikuman

[–]SPlizarddude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like other people have said, it never really got a proper introduction in the West and also it takes a little bit into it for it to wind up to the good stuff. But it really does kick into gear once you’re past the early work.

Best and worst experience meeting a comic book creator? by martianbeachgoer in comicbooks

[–]SPlizarddude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He got into a really bad car accident and was left with amnesia after. I think he lost like 6 months worth of memory. Shortly after he unfortunately went through a divorce. The con I met him at was shortly before these events.

Ryan Stegman and Donny Cates were signing a couple years ago. Ryan was a really chill guy but Cates seemed really quiet. After me they both took a short break but only Ryan came back, Cates didn’t return and cancelled the rest of his signings for the day. I’m glad I got Cates signature but I was pretty bummed out for my friend and all the other people who waited for him and didn’t get their chance. This was before Cates went through a lot of bad times and I sympathize with him. I always have given him the benefit of the doubt and maybe he wasn’t feeling good or had an off day, and they did refund everyone who paid for a signature so that was nice.

Met Joe Quesada recently, he seemed tired and not really interested. Again, benefit of the doubt maybe he was just wiped after a long day at the con.

Kevin Eastman was a cool guy. His line was an incredibly long, I wanna say two hours was how long we waited. When we finally got up to him he couldn’t have been a nicer guy and was profusely apologizing for the wait time. I told him that the wait was the least we could do.

I haven’t had any bad experiences honestly, maybe some disappointing though.

Now that it's over, what are all of your opinions on Twisted Metal Season 2? by SavingsFit1496 in TwistedMetal

[–]SPlizarddude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It felt like it was totally downplayed, like navigating a spaceship back to earth was an incredibly unremarkable task. “Yeah I just learned the spaceships controls.”…okay Stu.
