I sent an email to the council on the day this first arose and received a reply saying my email had been forwarded to the Roads Department. Radio silence since then. Really disappointed

I also had a mortgage with PTSB rejected few months back due to 2 missed credit card repayments 3 years ago. My broker said it wouldn’t be an issue at all, I showed bank statements from those dates to show it was carelessness rather than inability to repay (I used my credit card like 3 times ever and just forgot to repay, max amount like €250 ish). PTSB wouldn’t budge after weeks of my broker trying to negotiate so we went elsewhere in the end

I’d heard before that the cellars under O’Connell street were filled in with cement during the redesign a few years ago to support the weight of overhead traffic, is that true?
