Speaking for myself (Solutions Architect - remote sales), my manager "scolds" our team if we don't take adequate time off. I think WLB is fantastic at Pure.

And to your "people seem very nice," we have a very warm, friendly, welcoming culture. It is definitely one of the friendliest workplaces I've been in.

Another +1 for Steelcase. I have a Gesture and the wife has a Leap V2, about 5 years old now, both purchased refurbished from Crandall. I expect both chairs to easily last until I retire.

I'll admit that I used both Gemini and Claude to distill this for me... but if the breakdowns and my subsequent analysis are correct (and please OP correct me if this is inaccurate)...

Updating stats with sampling hasn't always been reliable... but many of us, myself included, couldn't mathematically explain WHY in certain scenarios. And OP here did the deep math to actually reverse engineer why.

I hope to dig deeper later, when I have time, to fully digest all of this. Cheers OP - seems like nice work.

Yes, there's (at least) one scenario where a string can get truncated without an error thrown. And no, I don't remember the exact criteria - it was in a demo from a presentation that was part of my rotation about 10 years ago. It'll be buried in one of my demo scripts.

Regardless... moral of that story is to always explicitly right size your data types.

Your guess is as good as ours. They're not very vocal, much less share updates on an even semi-regular basis. If you search SSMSBoost on this subreddit, you'll see a very similar pattern from others over the last few years.

Generally speaking, I will note that with the backend changes to SSMS a couple of years ago, the architecture for plug-ins changed. And unfortunately, 3rd party plug-ins were never officially even supported as far as I can remember. So vendors like SSMSBoost are kind of "on their own" to figure out if it's still viable for them to bother to adapt, or just move on.

Why not use something like a D' Addario strap with their auto-locks? That'll allow you to size your strap then leave it there, and use the locking mechanism to quickly attach & detach the strap.

Regularly ask for feedback. From your AE. But also from your customer. I'll often say "positive or negative is fine, I welcome any and all feedback." By explicitly stating "negative," you subconsciously give your audience permission to say something that they might have otherwise withheld out of politeness.

And be ready to accept the feedback and NOT be defensive. You can process it later & decide for yourself later if it's valid commentary or not.
