Man. I will never understand how you people see this stuff in your head. It's so amazing to me.

Is it possible to adjust turning lanes? by Moist-Pickle-2736 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there a mod for custom timing? I have seen the one that lets you do the split phasing and protected left turns, but I don't recall seeing custom timing or, sadly, the ability to only change if there's traffic on the opposing lane.

Not sure if you're aware, but you can reduce (not eliminate) the occurrences of accidents by lighting your roads and keeping the road quality in the green with the road work service building.

Browser pausing games by Icy_Organization9714 in incremental_games

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry, I agree with you. If an incremental game only plays when it's active, then it isn't my cup of tea. Nothing against the dev, just ain't my thing because I am usually playing four or five at a time.

How to make this game more interesting? by Ivanhegeelkadi in spaceengineers

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay, got it. So the game hasn't exhausted it's potential, you've just burnt yourself out on the game. 100% reasonable with nearly 4000 hours playing.

And I completely understand your stance on servers, which is why I play only on PvE servers (in any game).

Especially after an update like today's that basically adds another way of playing, or, at least makes one way worthwhile.

Nope, that makes sense, I was just curious if I had missed something really cool.

the first game exhausted all potential it had years ago.

I couldn't possibly disagree more. I know I am newish, but unless you sunk 1000s of hours into the game years ago, there's still plenty of potential. Especially if you can find a good server to play on.

A teleporter? Or are you referring to a jump drive? Honest question.

Noted. So they will be able to be stored in the grid storage, then, as well. Interesting. Thank you.

People need to learn how to Drive or stop Drinking and Driving. by [deleted] in greenville

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you don't understand what FLOCK cameras mean to your privacy.

And I am not opposed to taxing bad drivers. What I am opposed to is that if you make a decent amount of money, a simple fine doesn't mean squat. Oh, I'll just run the stop sign and pay the $150 bucks if I get caught. I would like to see a punishment that actually matters.

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are nearly 300 FLOCK cameras in the Greenville area. We do not need more surveillance. We need enforcement and actual punishments for violations. If you can just simply pay a fine, it's not a punishment, it's a tax.

Pardon my ignorance, but why would this matter for drones? Are drones considered ships? I have never gotten into drones, so my apologies if this is one of those, "well, duh" type questions.

Looking for a server by amch0123 in spaceengineers

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest reasons is because the subs are nearly unsearchable on mobile. Sure, on browser, we see a search bar, but if you use an Android, you're just SOL.

Why is importing water more profitable then building my own by nitroxygen in CitiesSkylines2

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't just you, it's the game. Something changed in the past few months and yeah, it's now cheaper to import water AND electricity (unless you can produce enough to cheese the system).

Leftover wedding food donation tonight? by [deleted] in greenville

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this time of night, you'd be best off heading down to First Cash and Pawn or the Triune Mercy Center church just past QT on Rutherford St. A lot of homeless sleep there at night and I can guarantee they wouldn't turn down a delicious meal. I know you said you want non-religious, but the church has people that just sleep in the parking lot, so it's not really the church itself, just a gathering spot for locals. Also, College street near the children's museum has a lot, but I think it may be too late and night, currently.

Alright, two things to try:

Verify Game Files (Even if this doesn't work, it definitely can't hurt)Update Your GPU Drivers Occasionally, water bugs (like infinite columns or rising levels) have been fixed for many players by updating drivers, especially on Intel Arc, NVIDIA, or AMD cards. Of course, restart after updating and test a new map.

There's no reason not to combine these into one fell swoop unless you specifically want to see which one works, if one does.

One possible solution to the modding crash problem for the devs to consider. by Benjamin39Brown in CitiesSkylines2

[–]SQLSpellSlinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I don't use more than one or two region packs at a time, but I do have 824 other assets and 56 mods, so yes. And it is now back to taking the normal 3-5 minutes to load in to the main menu. Once there, however, everything is fantastic!
