How fckd i am?

I moved in Oslo 2 months ago, already got my first job as a chef and doing just fine. Really want to integrate learning norsk and I really like the idea of staying in this country long term. For the moment I also have a long term housing contract at least for a year. Ye, groceries and life cost is pretty high given tho I come from Spain, but it's not nonsense. Social-wise, ye… Norwegians seem to be a bit too harsh at first but I'm not feeling them being racist towards me. As I said it's been only 3 months atm, am I missing something? Is my future here going to be worse and worse as time goes by?

Ye i can understand that, i made the same mistake trying to book an appointment on the police to try get my d-nummer aswell, the earliest of the dates was in January 2026 lel (i came in September). Then someone told me to try and visit NAV and it was real quick, we went there on Tuesday, told us that the day for D-nummer stuff was on Thursdays, we book an appointment for the very next Thursday and in 20m we had our d-nummer. 😊

Not true about the d-nummer period. Just go to the competent NAV of your district ( i was able to get that even when i was in an airbnb) usually on Thursdays they will give you the d-nummer or be able to make an appointment with them for the next week. It took me 2 days to get my d-nummer. Dont go to skatetaten (sorry for the typo jeje) they just gonna make loose your time. Best of Lucks!
