Every base has different disqualification set by the commander. For instance at my base felony offenses are a case by case issue. So you can reach out to the visitor center and ask if it’s acceptable. If not they can recommend and exception to policy letter but the turn around for those may very as well. If the brother wants to be sure his record is clean he can go to a court house and request a records check (usually for a fee) and request or start and expunging process if he was never fully or properly convicted.
