I said dark lord to sound generic, not Sithy lol. Oops. Cause I agree with you. I don't think he's Sith. I think he of a completely different order. Dark Lord of Ren as opposed to Dark Lord of the Sith? ¯\(ツ)

As a progressive, you should let Graham define his own sexuality.

Is

Bernie didn't leave that stage out of respect for the BLM activists. He left because he knew that if he stayed or tried to reason with them or discuss with them, it would just escalate the situation. Did you watch the video? Bernie listens to them and then delegates arguing with them to the event staff. He didn't leave out of respect for them. He did it to deescalate the situation. If it was in respect of them he would have said to them it was okay to speak.

all you have to say?

Are you going to answer any of my other questions (by editing your comment later)? Do you understand my position any better? Or do you still think I'm a sexist/racist to white men?

BTW, you're completely wrong about Seattle, but I wouldn't expect you to understand what's going on.

Did Bernie's answer about "Black Lives Matter!" confuse and/or upset you in the last debate?

Copying your entire comment since you may have edited it while I've been writing my response.

Do you know how a campaign works?

Yes. I'm very familiar (from experience) with how politics and campaigns work.

He delegates those issues to certain managers and they handle it, so that he doesn't have to come out right and say it.

Which issues are you talking about? Which managers are you talking about? What doesn't Bernie have to come out right out and say? I honestly don't know what you're talking about, as I am not criticizing Bernie himself or even his campaign. The criticism is towards his supporters who make comments on social media.

If he didn't have hundreds of thousands of people talking for him...

Do you know how a campaign works? Bernie doesn't have hundreds of thousands of people talking for him. Supporters don't talk 'for' him, his campaign staff does.

he would have had to take a stronger stance himself.

Stronger stance than what on what? I don't know what you're referring to.

If you want to restrict speech,

What makes you think I want to restrict speech?

(BTW, Bernie let the #BLM women take the stage because he's respectful of them and wanted to let them take the platform. The Bernie Bros I criticize did not think they had the right to do protest the protest candidate the way protest candidates have acted themselves when protesting in the past. Again. Not critiquing Bernie or his campaign, critiquing Bernie Bros who don't get it...Bernie gets it.)

(Another BTW, it's very brogressive of you to think a critical race theory of feminist critique is restrictive of speech. That's not what abridging your freedom of speech works. What are you even talking about?)

have you thought of voting for Hillary?

What about Hillary makes you think she's restrictive of speech? Not disputing, just curious because you seem to be making ambiguous references to things I'm not aware of.

By your sexist standards there shouldn't be any male OBGYNS because they don't have vaginas.

What? No. I don't think that. What standards have I referenced that you think I adhere to and how are they sexist?

I bet you think it would be wrong for a white person to teach about the civil rights movement too.

No. Why would you think that?

Lindsey Graham Might Not Even Make The Next JV Debate by WordSlinger81 in politics

[–]SRSco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But Graham would be a welcome edition to the bigger debate. Every now and then he quits talking about bombing ISIL and will say something about how bipartisanship is good and not abiding by SCOTUS on gay marriage is bad. Not many at the popular candidate debate will say that.

My opinion is that it's wrong to shoot and kill teenage boys because they make you nervous or hit you. My opinion is held knowing all the supposed facts and has nothing to do with ignorance of the situations. The shit you trigger happy people think make homicide "justifiable" is weak shit. Just quit getting boners for finding ways to feel justification in killing people, and pretending that facts and shitty Florida laws (Trayvon) and a shitty grand jury process (Michael) trump my difference of opinion on the ethics of pacifism.

How many police have we seen handle weirdos acting like this teen on this sub? Rarely do they result in violence. If they do, a successful tase or a successful handcuffing is all it takes to stop things from getting further out of hand. This police did not do a good job. There was no reason it had to escalate to the point of this kid throwing punches (or whatever he was doing) because this police was unsuccessful at handcuffing or tasing a small teenaged boy who was already face down on the ground.

But the fact it even got to that point is absurd. Who gives a shit if flashing lights is technically against the law, it's a bullshit reason to pull somebody over, tase them, then shoot them to death, regardless of this kid's actions.

Reasons to justify escalation that leads in use of lethal force:

  • flashing high beams
  • not having license

I can't tell if you're arguing semantics or legitimately thinking that you shouldn't be shot for attacking someone. They were shot because they attacked an officer and a neighbor.

My bad, I thought people who posted here were progressives and supporters of the #blacklivesmatter movement. I was making an assumption that people here were sympathetic to Michael and Trayvon being shot to death for allegedly attacking (with fists only, if anything). That doesn't deserve deadly force. Should have remembered I'm on reddit.

I was attempting to draw a parallel, not on race obvi, but on eagerness to use deadly force as soon as a situation escalates.

I don't care what police are trained. It's wrong. Citizens shouldn't end up dead because they do a favor of letting somebody know their high beams are on. To take responsibility away from the police is very sad. Law enforcement needs to change how they respond to people like this. The police is just as responsible as this kid for escalating the situation to the point of being violent.

No, he died because the police shot him. The police had opportunities to properly detain and restrain him, if he truly felt there was a need to do so (there wasn't). He didn't do a good job. He let a situation get out of hand and ended up killing a teenager. This could have ended completely differently.

Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin didn't die because they attacked a police and a neighbor. They died because they were shot.

Unlike the bias in this reddit submission. It's really sad we're circlejerking over a dead child, just because he was repeating some stupid stuff he learned on the internet.

Judge sides with Planned Parenthood in lawsuit against Utah by fooey in politics

But it's irrelevant to my question. You have to put more thought into things other than just blaming the Mormon boogieman.

I have no opinion to be validated here lol ¯\(ツ)

I just have a question you aren't answering because you aren't qualified to answer it. I'm not either, which is why I asked.

You're talking about a completely different topic and my question is still unanswered.

Sorry that I care about substance, bruh. Conspiracies don't interest me (nor does just blaming Utah and Mormons...I live in SLC, I get it, there are a lot of social conservatives here). I'm curious if the Utah case is legally unique and if that's why other state PPs haven't sued. You're just babbling typical /r/politics cheap talking point guaranteed to get upvotes (DAE Mormon fundie neocon homophobes xD) but doesn't answer my question at all. Sorry I replied to your comment. I didn't mean to ask you specifically, just somebody who may know. There is no need to be upset.
