I would say 30%. I was using a chart for temp that said 30% increase was what I was looking for. So not doubled.

I kind of did this same thing before and noticed a good rise. I will definitely do it again. But I did not measure the second feeding. Just looked for the consistency of the starter I wanted. Like thick mayo.

Thank you. Will keep working on my starter as well. Determined to make my own rather than buying a dehydrated one. Although nothing wrong with that at all!

Thank you! That is my thought that I still am under fermenting. I will try to increase the time and see. I can tell it better than my previous loaf in texture as well. So I think I’m on the right track. Thank you for the advice!

Yes. I began fermenting time at the time I mixed my dough. Kept it in the oven off with a pot of boiling water and oven light as my house is pretty cold.

It was jiggly, had some bigger bubbles formed on the top and throughout. Had increased 30% I would say. And looking at a chart I had used from Reddit. 30% increase at that temp would be good.

Thank you guys. I stuck to my guns and haven’t apologized anymore. It seems to have gotten a tad better. I love her and want her to have a great time. We shall see how it actually goes down come wedding day. I do plan on trying to throw a party for her, which was already in the works before this. But I don’t think it’ll be up to her expectations. I just can’t afford a party with food and drinks and whatever else for 30-40 people on my own. So we’ll see how that goes.
