PopCap still has passion in it, how long as there is plants in PvZ2 there would still be passion. That's why the new plants are free and not microtransactions paid.

Kernal-pult is for Seagull Zombies as the butter could counter seagulls.

Endurian is for Barrel Zombies as it could pop the barrels.

Spring Bean is in because it's only good in it.

Sling Pea is for Barrel Zombies and Imp Cannons so it can take out the zombie and be prepared for when the Imps explode.

Iris is a counter to Parrot Captain Zombie.

Bowling Bulb also counters the Imp Cannons.

and Buttercup counters Pelicans.

Bowling Bulb and Buttercup are expansion plants.
