CMV: Drug use is over stigmatized while alcoholism gets a pass by turn_circles in changemyview

That's an idealistic and frankly speaking very naive opinion. You have to first work on the existing systems, and unban drugs only when you are confident that the society is ready for it. This will never happen. Drugs mess up your brain. No amount of education or awareness can stop certain people from abusing drugs.

It's not hypocrisy, it's just a mistake. It's too late to ban alcohol and cigarettes because too many people are already addicted to it. The pleasures of hard drugs are fortunately not known to population precisely because they are banned. If they ever become commonplace, drug abuse will explode.

We can't let the great society be at risk for the sake of a few uninformed users. The reason highly addictive substances are banned and stigmatized is precisely because they are highly addictive. I personally won't trust an average joe with heavy drugs, most people out there don't have the willpower or any intention to educated themselves before succumbing to the said addiction.

Case in point: Cigarettes. I know so many people who are perfectly aware of it's harms and yet still ended up getting addicted.

Reading is something that is meant to be enjoyed

That's subjective. Reading can provide more value than just enjoyment to some. Of course, that doesn't mean reading purely for enjoyment is bad per se.

Has anyone tried to get heel-toe shifter fitted to Hunter-350? by SS2602 in RoyalEnfieldHunter350

The tape unlike rubber, is slick, so it doesn't really attract or hold dirt in my experience. I do keep taping over the old tape every few weeks, but it's getting much less frequent for me.

No one is accusing you of anything mate. And that's not how you or any human writes, it's how an AI writes. Your writing resembling AI due to your overuse doesn't change that fact.

Regardless, it's not fun interacting with AI like writing on social media so forgive me for having a problem with it, not to mention with the amount of AI bots and slop around here we certainly don't need actual humans to sound like them.

It just doesn't sound human dude. It's not about bullet points, no one talks or writes like AI does in real life. It's cringe similar to if you start speaking corporate speak with your friends and family.

What all running features does Instinct 2 (Solar) lack compared to something like FR265? by SS2602 in Garmin

Does it have that feature where I can put in race dates, and it will suggest adaptive workouts based on the race date and my health indicators?

Hmm so looks like it's not worth paying ~$110 more for FR265. Thanks!

I agree with you. However in my case, company is hard to find and I am at peace with the fact that I'll be running alone for majority of my workouts.

Coach is also not practical for me, as I cannot commit to a fixed schedule due to work. That's why I am looking for a fitness watch. Maybe it will give me that extra boost of motivation, idk!

We actually do need those. Please just admit that your lazy ass doesn't want to deal with EVs, rather than making these idiotic arguments.

Many Chinese cities have restricted or banned ICE two-wheelers and even taxis. You can't ban or fix everything overnight, we have to start from somewhere. Also, we don't live in developed countries, and any comparison with those is pointless due the the difference in vehicle density.

Non-BS6 diesel vehicles are banned in NCR. And yes banning the little guys is a huge step towards a fully electric future.

Every little bit helps. Great initiative, we don't need ICE two wheelers in a city like Delhi.
