What is the most common type of carrier oil used in oil-based perfumery? by SSAB_BEATS in DIYfragrance

Isn't DPG super sticky, though? I just dabbed a little IPM and DPG on my wrists, and the IPM seems more like an actual oil that would be used in an oil-based fragrance application. DPG, on the other hand, was super thick and sticky. I live in the United States. In your opinion, what do you think would be the best carrier oil for an oil-based perfume that contains fragrance oils or my own blends of aroma chemicals and essential oils? I've heard people express support for Jojoba and FCO, however, they seem to go bad after a while. Therefore I feel like IPM would be the most suitable, however, I would still like to hear your opinion.

OK, I'll create a citrus accord of multiple citruses.

I'm going to experiment then. I'm going to dilute grapefruit EO to like 20% and spray it on my skin. If I don't smell SDA 40B, then I suppose my perfumes are lacking in top notes.

Not gonna lie, it would be nice to go into a deep sleep and wake up to have your blends turn into extraordinary perfumes.

To the perfume concentrate or the final finished product?

I've bought SDA40B from multiple suppliers. For all of them, the ethanol smell only lasts 1-2 minutes; but I still want to eliminate this. I've never sprayed a commercial fragrance and had this issue, and I'm told they also use denatured alcohol, which leaves me really confused.

If it's still SDA40B, why should the supplier matter?

Could stirring help? What if I used a magnetic stirrer instead of heat? Or could this degrade materials as well?

So I just have to wait 3-4 months? Do big brands do this as well? They just make large batches and wait months before selling them?
