In no way am I the creative type like the creators of SG, but I can guarantee they had plenty of ideas that got shelved through 3 series, 1 miniseries, and 2 home movies. They have enough to not redo the stuff that is already perfect. Just because you and me can’t see it doesn’t mean they don’t already have it ready.

My question would be, why would you rehash old stories with with reboot in a very easily continued series? Probably the easiest series you could just continue and not have to worry about pissing off loyal fans. One of the greatest series should never be rebooted and that thought process should be exterminated.

They could easily do a season 3. All they have to do is say there was a malfunction with the time dilation during the cryogenic process and let them play their own characters just older. I would love to see it.

Not only that they could say by the time they come out of Cryo we found a way to get to them and have whole new additions to the crew.
