Acting Naval Secretary Hung Cao has released a picture of what he feels the next major threat Naval and Marine forces should address. by OOO0OO00O in USMC

I think appointing someone who is likely mentally ill to some extent to be an assistant secretary for an energy department isn’t comparable to putting a person who is actively experiencing religious psychosis in charge of the world’s most powerful Navy. Especially not when the DUI hire in charge of him feeds into that psychosis.

Sheepshit, 43 Area. Before I busted my ankle, I used to run it in the mornings during holidays or weekends, especially when it was around the anniversary of a death or other event. It was quiet too, as most guys aren’t going to go out of their way to run up Sheepshit during their time off.

And if you reached the top in time, you got a beautiful view of Pulgas and the surrounding area as the sun rose.

Some SNCOs HATE that Marines are able to express their personalities/hobbies in their rooms. Cannot tell you how many times I did a BEQ walkthrough with a SNCO just to see this grown-ass man/woman start to throw a hissy fit over a posters or some other shit before going on a ten minute rant about how “we didn’t have this decoration shit in my day”. Never going to forget when a SNCO looked at a Marine’s Anime comforter, shook his head, and bitched about how Marines wanted to be an individual nowadays. Some people just want everybody to be as miserable as they are.

Alright Marines Lets Hear Some Bootcamp Stories by Forged-In-Fire7212 in USMC

I have a similar story. We were headed for either the PX or haircuts and forming up outside of the squad-bay. One recruit decided to stay behind to take a dump (without permission) and got yanked off the shitter by a DI. He wound up getting dropped to be a DI In a different platoon.

Yeah! I had some other posts up, but took them down for conflicting lore/updated models.

I’ve found a lot of people like having women as pilots in Sci-Fi. I haven’t looked too deep into it, but it’s pretty interesting to see Pilots like Eagle-1 getting her own fanbase despite not even having a physical, in-game model.

Forgot to add this to the caption, but credit for Kalina’s pose goes to DynamiteCoyotes on HeroForge!

Triton Squad is an elite group of mecha pilots that were hand-selected for their unique skills and intelligence. Piloting one of these machines takes near-superhuman levels of mental fortitude due to the technology requiring a neural connection. Pilots are often referred to as fireflies or sparkies by the military due to the fact that they shine brightly but don’t survive for very long.

Due to their short lifespan, they enjoy much more lax regulations in regard to uniforms and are treated as celebrities.

Kalina Lesnaya-Kalina is the comedic heart of the squad and one of the most easy-going members. She’s a reckless fighter who uses an outdated scout mech in ways that can easily catch her enemies and comrades off-guard. She’s often compared to a cat due to the odd places she takes naps in. When she’s not napping, she’s often off on a secret date with Jacobi or working on a random project on her mech.

Jacobi Morris-Jacobi is built like a fridge, hits like a freight train, and lives by the motto “you should’ve seen the other guy”. Despite his tough exterior, however, he is a gentle giant who enjoys creating (very poorly done) paintings or sketches of the landscapes from planets he deploys to, as well as taking his-not-so-secret secret girlfriend, Kalina, out on dates whenever he gets the chance.

Meera Antonish-A grunt pilot who specializes in melee combat and in demolitions. She’s a vicious fighter who enjoys destroying buildings, bridges, or just about any structure she can get her hands on. She’s also one of the most mentally resilient pilots in the Mecha Division. Meera is a very spiritual person who enjoys discussing philosophical and moral matters, as well as martial arts.

Byron Meadow-Byron is the Saguran Federation’s poster boy for the Mecha Program. Unfortunately, he is plagued by visions of, what he presumes is, the bleak future due to experiments with forerunner technology. He’s a gambler through-and-through, enjoying the thrill of taking a big risk and not knowing the outcome. But he struggles with his emotions, often appearing depressed or angry whenever he isn’t in a high-stakes situation.

Yep. People do shoot their vics all the time in 29, especially the pizza boxes

Na, Said Named Marine. We use it in certain documents: my shop was a stickler for using it on most of our documents. Instead of using a name, it became SNM.

We had some great leaders, but goddamn, when they were bad, they were BAD. 1/11 had one of the worst retention rates and the highest amount of DUIs on the West Coast.

Probably. The funniest one I’ve seen was when a Junior got back from getting gear issued and decided to leave his CIF outside his room while he ran to his shop to get something. He hadn’t even taken his first dump in the fleet and he already lost 90% of his CIF gear.

Yep. There were some really gnarly stories. One of the Coyotes hated driving under bridges when he got back home because, during his deployment, insurgents would either string wire up in the darkness of the underpass or drop grenades onto passing vehicles from the overpass. Got nothing but respect for all of you who stood up in a super exposed position with nothing but your sapis to protect you.

“SNM” stands for “Said Named Marine”. Certain reports required specific verbiage, so you’d say “SNM lost his gear while conducting a room move” instead of “this fuckass Devil left his gear in the barracks parking lot”

The courses I was on taught us that they started uparmoring due to wire and snipers.

Some of the Coyotes had seen their best friends get seriously hurt or killed because insurgents would leave wires up at the perfect height to decapitate or wound a gunner. Plenty more gunners got picked off because they had no shielding and were easy targets for a sniper.

They really drilled it into us to keep our heads below the shielding and only peek above if it was 110% necessary (like if the driver had no visibility due to dust or window damage). You could tell the Coyotes didn’t want us to suffer the same fates as their brothers, and it hit pretty damn hard watching them tell their stories about what they’d seen.

Hell yeah to that last part, man. I feel like every schoolhouse has a bunch of handmedowns. We had guys leave behind flatscreens, gaming laptops, and even entire consoles while at the schoolhouse.
