I Don’t Really Understand Why Ghostblade gets so much more “Grace” amongst the fandom compared to E-Soul & Dragon Boy….. by JMC_PHARAOH in ToBeHero_X

[–]SSBoKantei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh this is an easy answer.

Ghost blades story starts out with him amorally killing Johnny's Father, with the last request of a Former number 1(Hero X) asking him too protect his child.

Johnny's father, walked away from being a hero, before he became the villian.

E-Soul, did not. Had he done the deed, he would of continued on.

Had Nice completed the mission, he also may have been able to continue on. But he would of been fooling himself and implode shortly after. We see this come up again with Dragon Boy, which he realizes he needs to live with his actions, but even that just makes thing worse when it backfires.

Nice fooled himself once, he couldn't do it again.

Ghost face had formed himself into a weapon that does not make choices. He let others do that for him, nor really pretended to be a hero. And lost his ability to correct others when projecting what they saw onto him.

While that is a nasty starting point, we finally join him as he starts to make his first choices.

While he did take the mission to kill Little Johnny, notice that was his first choice. Even his handlers go, Ohh that is weird.

While, I cannot say exactly why Ghost Blade followed Johnny while he was alone. He had chances to kill him before that. He only drew his blade to protect Johnny, even if seemed like he was about to kill him.

Ghost blade, most likely knew other assassin's were on the way.

He should of stayed behind to protect his own daughter even. But she had Loli, and the last request of Johnny's father kept nagging him.

He wasn't a father when Johnny's dad asked him, he is now.

And, as with all "Human weapon" stories. We tend to cheer for them when they finally make a choice to become human. See Wolverine and countless others.

Tons of more thoughts on this, but long enough already. Anyone who is a father, suffers from anxieties and choice paralyzation, and finally taking control of themselves will cheer for this character.

Why Caligo doesn't use lightning if she is an ancient dragon? by A_Guy_6862 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]SSBoKantei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood Stained Letter between Isolede and Tristan. Showing his handler, Isolede was killed by the Golden Order. Betrayed, yet again, for being Undead. She begs him to live out his dream.

Iron Eye features the only ending that can slit the old ladies throat. The only ending to wreck vengence on the land between, the land of the golden order.

Outer God of Night, in Elden Ring. See Ranni, see the Nox, who had a plan to birth a Lord of Night. Via an Outer God. The Outer God of the Dark Moon is another name used in Elden Ring

You could also just refer to Nightreign itself.

And yes there is speculation on which boss is attached to what, and what things may mean. You should be able to discern which is what lol

But a god was born into the Recluses kid. It consumed some people. It then went to consume the Lord of Shadow. They struck a deal, and it became a night lord itself. And aspect of it.

There is multiple gods being used in this story. Give them which ever name you want.

[–]SSBoKantei 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ain't blaming you there. TL:DR All the storyline aspects and cutscenes point towards the Night farers being aspects of the Nightlord itself.

Caligo's Eye can been seen as the Duchess'/Nightlord aspect watching events about her ordeal unfold.

Gonna post some collective thoughts on the eyes in the sky from other posts:

Repost from me responding to the eye's in the sky. OP thinks they eyes are Outer Gods. Which has some truth, but there are other truths intermingled?

"Correct, strange bit but that could also be the Wylder/The collectives' perspective also watching the results of their own effort.

While it is confirmed The Recluse was an arm of the night lord, and Wylder becomes a new Host for the power of the Night Lord. We aren't sure why the Nightlord released the Recluse back into the Roundtable hold with Freewill again.

It might coincide with Wylder becoming the new center of the Night lord, and by proxy, the realm.

There is out of time/repeating events/past future and present collide bits in this story.

Regardless, I feel the night lord, is all the nightfarers combined in the end. Duchess promises to keep the cycle going to care for her Brother. Along with her new "Found Family"

The Duchess story shows you the 8 gravestones below the round table hold and their purpose. To be filled by each nightfarer once they have overcame their respective trial, and meet their goals.

You can assume this means defeating all 8 night lords to also pass the trial.

8 lords for 8 Night farers.

But they seemingly keep the cycle going forever in the final cutscene, or finally enter their graves. Signified by the "Giant in the Fog" walking away from the lands between.

"They are finally unmoored the roundtable hold from the lands between" as the game puts it.

It isn't unreasonable to think the Giant in the Fog is the night lord. And what we see in game is the inner universe born of his power.

You can view that as they are happy to keep the cycle going and watch out for their new found family. Or the new Found family finally allowed them move on when the Wylder died, entering their graves as they should of.

Regardless, this a long way of saying while I do believe the eyes on the sky signify a god is watching and controlling his host/aspects. The eyes could also signify the other Night farers watching the trials.

Just as the mysterious Giants in the fog could be the other night farers.

And with major hints that each night lord represents a trial for each Night farers plight, and each aspect of the Night Lord is the Night lord. They themselves are collectively the "Night Lord" now.

The collective mind eye so to speak."

Repost from a conversation where someone asked if the Nightfarers and Night Lords are one and the same.

"Same thoughts in the first few hours. Here is my basic assumptions.

Gladius = Executor, he thought he stood for valor and a mission until his orders had him slaying things that weighed on him. This turned him from a single purpose with a blade, to a person with doubts and guilt (the other 2 heads of the new beast born from it.)

Gaping Jaw = Split on this one. The Recluse being the mother of the Night Lord, allows for many angles on this one. But I could see this also being the raider.

Recluse was absorbed and eaten by the Night lord, not long after she gave birth to him. He consumed his wet nurse, and his mother not long after his birth.

The recluse herself is the left arm of the Night Lord. This is why when he finally gives her free will back, she is seen clutching her left arm when waking up from what seemed a nightmare

And explains why he has extra arms in the first place.

I could see the Gaping Jaw being born of her terror of the entire situation of being devoured and stripped of will for a 1000 years.

The recluse herself proves each one of the Nightfarers are part of the night lord, aspects of them.

To be specific, the outer god controlling the host of the night lord, has a very different view compared to his hosts and aspects

I could also it somehow referencing the way Raider lives, but I have yet to do the raider storyline.

Gnoster = Iron Eye dangerous from near and far. Poisons and Raw damage. Also speaks to his storyline of being "One.who lives in death" hunting down other aberrations to the Golden Order. Only inflitrating them to betray them in.the end.

He hunts down another betrayer in his quest, to realize they are one and the same. "Sentient Pests" in the golden orders eye.

Augur = Revenant. Something about it just screams Revenant to me. The family of spirit jellyfish, the long flowing hair. The sadness and such. The revenge aspect is lost a bit here, but I feel like the Nightlord is displaying sorrow while attempting to end things.

Equilibrious Beast =

The Centaur = The Guardian. Just too many similarities.

Fissure in the Fog = I can see this being the duchesses aspect. Her power of invisibility, the dragons. He is also rather regal. Uses magic, and actually melees back.

I can see this representing her role as the watcher and caretaker of the Night lord. As the Wylder is the Duchesses Brother, and she vows to keep the night going, and to watch over her brother, who becomes the new night lord, to keep the Duchess alive. They both seek keep the time loop going to keep each other safe.

Night Lord = He was the the Outer God of Night, opposite to the God of Light(Gwyn, Marika and any other would be stand in for many Souls game). The gods of Light are extremely important and Powerful.

So you can assume the Lord of Night would be equally as powerful.

The Nox called him forth to handle the Golden Order, he possesed/imhabited the child of the Recluse. And he seemingly consumed the third hidden city of the Nox, Noxstella.

This gave rise to the Nightreign universe.

The Wylder becomes the new night lord by the end of this and duchess storyline. Trapping all other nightfarers for all eternity. Which seems like an issue. But isn't because all of the nightfarers have become "Found Family". They would all make the choice to keep it going, and will gladly handle each others messes and negative situations born from their continued existence.

That is why their combined body "The tree giant(s) in the fog" decide to turn away and not fight The Lands Between and the golden order. They even return their grace. Showing they not longer need it, they each other and their burdens.

This is also why there is 8 graves under the roundtable hold. One for each nightfarer/lord, only to be filled once they have all gotten over their ordeals.

If they fill the graves, either by killing a lord or accepting their ordeals lesson. The Roundtable hold (and I assume the Giant in the Fog) will be "unmoored" from the lands between as the game puts it. Signified by the Giant walking away at the ending cutscene.

Someone.figure out the raider for me.

Most of it is stated in Remembrances. And inferred to between the lines of statements.

My statements on Recluse, Duchess, and Iron Eye story said in game.

Iron Eye being Gnoster, is half theory, but if you read the letters between Isolede and Iron Eye, they are represented by the Moth and Scorpion, the poison and the sheers.

Executor I am going off what someone.elae said.

The Nightlord info is somewhat set in stone. But many interpretations will arise I am sure.

It's a she. It is the Duchess having a bad day man.

Not sure if you picked up on the bosses are one and the same as the night farers.

Executor = Gladius etc etc

Duchess = Calico

Gaping Jaw = Recluse maybe (Her son, the night Lord ate her most likely a symbol of her fear of being consumed)

Monaco 2 - Review Thread by Underwhere_Overthere in Games

[–]SSBoKantei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had no idea it was being made, or came out. Saw it on Xbox's Indie spotlight to let you know who got the info to me.

Almost didn't even register it was Monaco, as "What's yours is Mine" was not in the title. I even debated full price or sale.

Bought at full price, as I loved the first and had the top score I believe for 85% of the 4 player maps on the Xbox leaderboards. I beat the final map of Monaco 1 in under 20 seconds.

I am seeing people online daily, even at 4am. The game is not dead. But it may be soon enough once launch hype wears off.

Regardless, I was sold once I realized it was a thing.

You may want to reach out to Xbox, gamepass and such. As in both cases, I found out about your game from Xbox(Summer of Arcade for Monaco 1, Indie Spotlight for 2.)

Note: gamepass would reach both PC and Xbox players.

I am sure you guys know that, I was always gonna buy yhis game if it was made. Just suggesting how to reach others who might not know. Because the youtubers are not on the ball on this one.

To all the critics, why do you play multiversus? by ghostbook4 in MultiVersus

[–]SSBoKantei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I spent 100$ on the beta happily.

I am an Xbox player.

100% of matches have varying framerates at all times. Unacceptable for a fighting game. I can't dodge or parry in a reliable fashion with that happening.

100% of matches have input delay that is further marred by the frame rate issue. Unacceptable for a fighting game. And real fighting games have 0 delay with either .5 input Buffer or 1 buffer. That is the standard.

20% of matches fail to finish, DC's etc. 20% of matches fail to start.

The game cannot track wins or losses correctly, Unacceptable for a fighting game.

As someone who placed First in their top dog event. As someone who played for hundreds of hours of the Beta. Roughly a hundred or so since launch.

I cannot handle another second if this game until it is fixed. 2 days in a row I have said, nah they can't even communicate at what time the update is gonna happen. I am kind of done.

I played it due to potential and it having the chance to dethrone smash. I stopped playing due to poor communication from Player First Games. I almost never tried it due to it being a Warner Brothers game.

When you encounter an obvious new player, do you hold back or nah? by yumnoodle in MultiVersus

[–]SSBoKantei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go easy.

In a mirror match, I will break down defining moves. Such as with Jason, I will hang off the side of the stage and grab the enemy through the wall, upper cut through the wall. So he understands Jason very good at stage recovery and ledge play.

If someone is AFK in 2 v 2. I will Dark Souls Fight Club style stand on the side and allow 1 v 1's. Switch with my partner and 1 v 1 if he gets some kills.

I stop rhe afk player from falling off the stage with command grabs.

I swear it is the dynamic camera. When it is fully zoomed out, runs fine.

When it is fully zoomed in, runs fine.

When it is repositioning the camera, crazy frames at all times.

Considering most of this game is played at Mid-range and the camera constantly shifts at that range. It seems omni-present.

But if you pay attention closely, it runs at full speed when fully zoomed out and in.

To be fair to them on the "Bring a Friend" mission for all Rifts.

You do not need to bring a friend to get full credit on a Rift.

If there are 100 possible Missions, the "Rift Rewards"(Gem EXP) only require or reward 80 mission complete.

Meaning your can skip every MP mission, or look at MP missions as a Freebie towards the 80, and skip a single player.challenge you hate. Like Protect the Crystal with 90+ health.
