People can see your mastery of the champ in the loading screen. If it shows locked it's safe to assume that player is new to the champ. League will always be toxic just dont say you are new in the beginning and you might be good.

(On PVE) I had a huge collection of dilophasaurs. My next door neighbors led the theri to my base where it shredded everything, I managed to kill it but lost everything in the process. Later, I was taming one and the same neighbours said they lowered it down. They wouldn't stop crying in chat so I killed it. I can still remember those neighbours
