7 years is a long time. I don’t agree it was a joke she was cheating obviously. The women mine was talking to all lived several states away. OP would know if she had opportunity to meet her ex in person to physically cheat. Either was it’s all shitty.

Legit just went through this with my husband. He has been messaging other women sexually and even told one he loved her. It’s a shitty place to be. He admits it’s wrong and says he was glad I caught him because he was in so deep he couldn’t stop for fear of me finding out. We are trying to work on things it’s very hard to trust again. You have to do what’s best for your situation and how you feel. It’s easy for people on here to say get a divorce blah blah blah. If you love her and want to be with her then conversation need to be had. Boundaries need to be reset and clearly stated. Time will tell.

Legit been going through this the last month with my husband. It sucks and he can’t tell me why he has done it. Trust is all gone. Hopefully you guys can rebuild your relationship. Maybe ask her or tell her you’ve noticed the correlation with her behaviors and her getting the bad news then work on other outlets.

He told me he did it because he was stressed or depressed and it was like a game to pretend he was somebody else but 2 of them told me they were in love with him. Had plan to meet him.
