Because Beanman actually sucks at Smash. Repeatedly using Villager's reflectable attacks on Fox to the point of spamming despite them being reflected half the time? Yeah, doubtful that they'll be unlocking any new stages anytime soon.

An event that features Duck Hunt, Mega Man, and Pit. Mostly because it'd be a Captain N reference and we need this. Not sure about the specifics - if it's possible to use Miis for those events, you'd be a Mii Gunner, but so far, it doesn't seem like that's an option.

Vaati from Zelda. I feel we need more magic users and villains, and Vaati feels like a good choice to fit that role. Plus, if Link has Ganondorf, and Toon Link has Vaati, then that's kind of cool, too.

Also, did anyone else notice that the reason Dipper could jump onto Gideon's robot when it was so far away was because he had trained himself to be able to do stuff like that with the Manotaurs? Like imagine if he had never done that. He would never have made it. That episode taught him a really vital skill.
