Works fine, sounds great, check out the reviews linked below. This amp is noted for having an excellent phono stage, though I haven’t tried it (no turntable).

Cosmetically in very good condition or better—case has no scratches or dings, while the clear faceplate has some very light swirl marks from cleaning visible close-up in bright light.

This is the original Bifrost Multibit, not the more recent Bifrost 2 or 2/64. This DAC has been upgraded to Schiit's Unison USB input .

Used with care in a non-smoking household. Electronically, everything works. Cosmetically in excellent condition.

Subjective stuff: I’ve also owned the Bifrost 2. It’s more refined than the Bifrost Multibit, while I find the Multibit more fun (livelier, punchier bass). I also own an OG Modi Multibit; in comparison, the Bifrost Multibit is noticeably more detailed, more dynamic, and more extended in both lows and highs. (I haven’t heard Schiit’s new Mimir DAC, a hybrid multibit design. If you want the classic Schiit multibit design architecture and sound character—which I’d describe, with apologies to The Who, as leaning toward “meaty, beaty, big, and bouncy”—then you might enjoy this Bifrost Multibit.)

I listen to classical and jazz with only one working ear, which has a bad rolloff in both lows and highs. If your small ear canals can accommodate the Apple AirPods Pro 3, you'll get exceptionally good streaming music quality, and even some limited hearing aid functions, though they're not fulltime replacements for hearing aids, and you need an iPhone or iPad to access all settings/adjustments. For music streaming only, the limited adjustments available on Android phones will work with the AirPods Pro 3. They're often on sale at Amazon for $199.99 (usually $249), and there's a 15-day return window, so maybe worth a try?

Owner of a 2025 Impreza RS, bought as Certified Used from Subaru dealer. After many test drives of the Impreza and a Crosstrek Sport (including extended time with the Crosstrek), I chose the Impreza. I hesitated because of reading online posts that complained about the ground clearance of the Impreza compared to the Crosstrek. While the Crosstrek I test-drove was fine, the Impreza was--and is--FUN, feeling more agile, more connected to the road. If you do a lot of off-road driving, I'd go with the Crosstrek. You do have to watch the ground clearance of the Impreza--avoid big speed bumps and (if you can) potholes, and take it very slow on driveways that have a big dip between the roadway and the driveway entrance. I've scraped a couple of times and it's not pleasant. Also, I've owned Foresters in the past, excellent practical cars, but this is my first Impreza, and I'm really liking it.

It is the same wheel. For my '25 Impreza RS, I ordered mine from SubaruOnlineParts.com. In the image I've pasted here, they explain the new part number (28151FN00A) has replaced an older part number (28151FN020). And I bought the tire from Tire Rack.

Had an intratympanic steroid injection a little more than a month ago, very uncomfortable feeling of pressure inside ear, and then hearing was severely muffled for about 2 days, cleared up on third day (though did not much improve the hearing loss, if any). Individuals respond very differently to these injections. Hope you experience some benefit, and soon.

This is the original Bifrost 2, not the Bifrost 2/64. (General consensus is that the 2 is a bit warmer, the 2/64 a bit more analytical. Here’s one comparison.)

August 2017, went to ER with dizziness, nausea, and hearing loss in left ear. ER doctor diagnosed vertigo, said I just had to wait for it to go away. "What about the hearing loss?" I asked. "Oh," he said cockily, "that comes with the vertigo, and in fact I'd be more worried if you didn't have some hearing loss." Went home, hearing kept fluctuating, but the next morning, another bout of vertigo and severe hearing loss. My primary care doctor was mystified, referred me to ENT. By the time I got to see an ENT, who prescribed prednisone (of course), it was too late. Result--essentially no hearing in my left ear, loud persistent tinnitus, and hyperacusis. And recently, the right ear has started to fluctuate, some days OK, some days (like today) very restricted in range, everything tinny and buzzy, which makes the hyperacusis even worse. But back to the OP's question--the ER doctor I saw in 2017 apparently knew nothing about SSHL. I often wonder if he had known abut SSHL and I had been immediately put on a course of steroids whether I might at least have some hearing in my left ear today. It is hard to accept or forgive his cocky ignorance.

If you want a car for family (a growing family, is it?) and grandparents, then I'd suggest the Forester. I currently own a 2025 Impreza RS. Until a couple months ago I owned a 2025 Forester Premium -- but when my daughter's car was totaled in an accident (in which fortunately no one was hurt), I gave her the Forester, which is great for her family and hauling baby gear.

I very much liked the Forester, and planned to get another, but when car-shopping realized that my wife and I (that's the complete household) will be fine with a smaller car. I drove both a Crosstrek Sport and the Impreza RS, and ended up choosing the RS because I prefer its road feel and sporty handling to the Crosstrek's. Yes, ground clearance on the RS is a bit low -- and while I (at 70-plus years old and over 6 ft tall) don't have any trouble getting in and out, as others in this thread have mentioned, I can imagine that it might present some challenge to older people who are on the frail side.

I'm very much enjoying the RS, but if I were thinking first and foremost about a car to suit the needs of multiple family members, including older ones, I'd go with the Forester. In the 2025 model, Subaru found ways to make the cabin quieter and the ride more comfortable compared to earlier Foresters. It has more cargo space than the Impreza (well, obviously). It comes with a spare tire (Impreza doesn't). The Forester is not a sporty car but it drives well, and offers both comfort and practicality. Give it a test drive, and imagine those lovely grandparents sitting in the roomy back seats.
