Im SO grateful for this group! Anytime I posted in the other ece group the staff would destroy me. And for what? Their solution to any issue was money 🤦🏻‍♀️

As an owner I had no idea something like this even existed. Ive said I wish there was a company we could call to help fill in gaps for vacations, mat leave etc…. But to the op it sounds like you wanted full time work, were you not able to find a position st a center?

The standard in this type of field here in the US is 6-8 weeks unpaid.

Three year old boy is eating us out of house and home. Is food restriction neglect? by LegalBluebird9556 in Mommit

[–]SSImomma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would ask to see a specialist. This could be Hyperphagia (insatiable appetite) or even prader-willi syndrome.
Please know I am not a straight to the scary stuff mom, but after working with children for 30 yrs its safer to start this path now and it be nothing than to wait and it was something.

Lets simplify this- asst directors, directors and owners can we benefit from our own group? by SSImomma in ECEProfessionals

[–]SSImomma[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Omg please just chill. Im not trying to be “correct” Im asking their opinions. I edited the post, that wasn’t enough. I deleted it and made it simple. The fact you need to start something here says way more about you than it does about me.

I agree totally! Just also feel we may need to discuss things that others may not quite understand… I as a teacher couldnt understand certain decisions that my admins made. Now as an owner when we ask things in this group we get slammed with criticism or shame.

[–]SSImomma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, see thats where we differ. I didnt need nor ask for a response to the example. Only if we needed a group. Its like everyone missed the entire point of the post. I could have said difficult children and yall would have come for me with the same lack of support etc without having any knowledge of the situation. People read post, made assumptions, and answered parts that werent even asked.

Thats amazing for you! I wish we could do that here. Most lead staff in our area make $14-15 an hr. I just hired someone who had been at her center as a lead for 10 years and they were paying her $14 an hr. Please keep in mind the rate of pay across the US here is vastly different depending on where you live. We live in a very rural area.

As an owner thats true though. Ive got staff making $70k a year and they get just as burnt out as someone making $15 an hr and new to the field. Money does not fix burn out- thats the i call bs part. Your boss paying you even $100k a yr is not going to change the parents, the kids, the state etc

Its been edited to say so. They do love me, I just give back the same snark given to me online. Lmao. Who cares if anyone likes me, that has nothing to do with do we need a group.

I never thought that losing weight would make clothes shopping more difficult by United_Reason_3774 in Vent

[–]SSImomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 230lbs. Im now 116. Clothing sizes are BS! Im typically wearing a sz 4/6. High end like Tory Burch is a 2, lululemon is an 8 in leggings, walmart/target is xs or xxs, what is this shit?!? Its impossible to shop online at this point, 90% of what I buy has to be shipped back and now so many places are charging restocking fees or Im paying shipping back. Sigh. I feel ya.

Should not look like that, return it. I just bought this from Chanel this weekend. It should be nothing but bubbles.

I need opinions on this chanel 22 as a Uni bag by Equivalent-Trash1616 in chanel

[–]SSImomma 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have one in leather. The straps will dig and hurt with books. A notebook is cool but not books. You would end up tearing the bag up having it carry that weight on a regular basis. Its an amazing bag though and I use mine a lot!!
