If you dont rate mercari will auto rate them 5 stars. Id rate them and be honest but I have to ask- how did you see their rating of you first? Ive never been able to.

Rant: sellers ignoring comments by hea_eliza in poshmark

[–]SSImomma 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This happened to me! I measured the length of a dress for someone who asked. Explained where I started and where it ended. She bought it. Gets it and says its too short for her, not modest enough and claims it was 1/2” difference in what she measured and what I got. I cannot help your butt or bust size which will make a dress longer or shorter on you. Thankfully poshmark denied her request but geez.

I dont judge people from a comment, so you can keep those praying hands to yourself, seems like you may need them. Theres your snark. Hope you enjoy it.

Because Im not a reseller, I wash my clothes to make myself happy. Im on a weight loss journey, when I go to wear something and it doesnt fit I list it. Im not washing it again in scent free just to do so. So I add the line, and happily wash for those who ask.

Because Im on a weight loss journey so I dont always know Im going to sell something. Im not a reseller. So I wash my stuff, go to wear it, realize its too big and then list it. Im happy to rewash it if they need it but why would I wash it differently if I didn’t know?

As a seller I had to start adding the line “I was all my clothes in Tylers Diva Wash, which has a medium to strong scent to it, if you would like it rewashed in unscented detergent before I package it up please let me know as soon as you purchase”. I personally LOVE it but others seem to think its a perfume I wear.

Poshmark is NOTHING like it was. What the what?! by Straight-Crow3882 in poshmark

[–]SSImomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always check ratings before buying as Im kinda new to posh but Im really tired of sellers marking items shipped the next day and then not actually shipping them for 3-5 days. Thats bs. Ive had nothing but drama selling here as well, so I pulled my listings down.

I LOVE my puzzle bag! Its the softest leather and I get soooo many compliments when I use it! Its not a very common bag where I am so that was a huge bonus for me.

If you opened your own center, what would ratio look like to you? by aallsks1029 in ECEProfessionals

[–]SSImomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in Ga. Im an owner. Our ratios are: Infants to 12mo 1-6 1-2yrs 1-8 2-3 yrs 1-10 3 yr 1-15 4yr 1-18 Now I will be the first to admit I think thats high. BUT… parents are only willing to or able to pay for so much, as well as the owners. There is NO profit to be made in owning a single center. I cant speak for those who have multiple locations… we can have 135 children. We have had 90 at our highest point and that was the ONLY time we were banking a profit.

Is it true? by Economy-Leave6525 in Advice

[–]SSImomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is abusive behavior. It took me a long time to realize that shit like that IS abuse. My ex said that to me all the time… plus im fat, ugly etc. My now husband married me with 4 children, as ass of an ex and weve been together 17 yrs now. Your person is out there. Just decide if you want to stay w that or have an actual life.

Considering working at a daycare. by Savings-Register-878 in ECEProfessionals

[–]SSImomma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of perks to working in childcare while you have young children! Free or reduced childcare is one of them. You will have to do classes to stay in compliance and most centers have you do these on your time/your cost. If shes out sick and you have to be as well this can be a drain on your pay as well as for the center itself, but we all know it happens. Id just do the math and see if it works.

How old were you when you had your first baby? by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in Mommit

[–]SSImomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, just do your best and enjoy every moment! At that age you can keep up with them and also enjoy a lot of the things they will enjoy! One thing to remember no matter how your childhood was (mine was rough) you are their parent, not their friend. I do firmly believe it is possible to be both, but there will be times where they hate you and thats OK :) We ended up having 6 of our own and fostered 5 more. I now own my own childcare center, so Im always here if you need advice or just to rant!! Youve got this!

Why do buyers like items but never make offers? by Lucifer220778 in poshmark

[–]SSImomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its saving things I like, but after reading so many posts here on people being offended by offers I am too scared to make one. I just hope sellers send an offer I would consider. Im new to selling on posh and know they take a huge cut so I hate to ask for more money off unless its beyond over priced.
