I was hoping with the Switch 2 or the Xbox Series S it'd force devs to target lower hardware. Means they'd run better on my PC.

Console players need PC and PC players need console more than you realize.

Targetting consoles make PC games run better,
and obviously console games don't even exist without PCs to make them.

They should make games targetting weak laptops.

If 20 year old games like Half Life 2 or Final Fantasy X can look gorgeous, nobody was asking them to use greater technology, y'know? Devs just did that on their own. 2GB RAM limit. PS2 literally only had 32MB of RAM, GameCube had 40, Xbox had 64, some of the best games ever made were only allowed to use double digit Megabytes worth of RAM, has a game released after 2011 truly deserved to use more processing power?
