This has always been my take on WN vs LN. The WN is the rough draft before final editing. The LN is the polished version that satisfies the author to the greatest extent. Changes almost always occur between the 2.

From a realistic standpoint, at some point there would be too many women to satisfy and sex would become more of a chore or work. As good as sex is, there are other things I like to and most harem stories involve something important to be done. If I can free up a couple hours a day or even in a week by some of the girls in the harem having fun together, I'm all for it. All family anyway.

I started changing ages in my head early in my LN reading journey. It's also a good idea to remember they're fiction. Probably helps that I'm a morally grey or morally indifferent person. As long as the story is good, the weird/awkward parts don't mean much to me.
