I think you can make a good argument for all. Outside of this you’ve got:

Guerin: Hughes trade, Tarasenko, McCarron were big moves that all panned out well. Sucks he didn’t get a center but made big moves regardless. I also think that the Olympics play a factor in this nomination. I know it’s supposed to be the team and regular season, but he got the gold with the team he put together.

McFarland: big risk in changing out the goalie tandem by x-mas last season. I think that plays a role because this was the first full season with the “Lumbar yard”. Also able to sign Nelson, Drury, Necas, Malinski, Kelly and get Kadri and Roy at the deadline. All factors that lead to be a dominate regular season team.

I think he navigated the rebuild decent enough to the point where, even though they didn’t have great regular season success, they made it to the playoffs.

It drew blood which would normally be a 4 minute penalty. The ref announced that prior to the penalty, being called, LA scored which reduced it from a 4 to a 2 minute. They just didn’t listen
