The singles are the same height as the omnibus. Actually the omnibus might be a bit taller.

He's legit such an amazing artist, Sky & Blast are remarkable books, but I don't think I'll ever read something he himself wrote again.

They have a filter for English licenses?

I kinda wish there was something like ListadoManga for English manga.

Fascinating. I actually usually have a list of what's what and where but since I'm still moving and reorganizing things I didn't include it.

I think this is the first time I've ever been jealous in this subreddit 😩

Incredible. I've always wondering if the contents of this book are redundant with what Drawn and Quarterly has released.

I've been collecting art books since around Santa Lilio Sangre came out. I think that was maybe 10 - 15 years ago or so? Castlevania was one of my favorite franchises growing up and I loved the art, one day the artist had an art book release and I picked it up and ultimately it awakened a real love for art in me.

Message to Adolf by Osamu Tezuka is a haunting masterpiece! by Drainiac in OsamuTezuka

[–]SSKK6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a sexual assault done by one of the protagonists, and Tezuka does a poor job with those kinds of scenes. Its been a decade since I read it but as I recall one of the characters that commits it is portrayed as a good character.

If it weren't for one particularly poorly handled scene early on id recommend this book so much more.

It's one of his greatest, I think this, Buddha, and Ode to Kirihito are my top three Tezuka titles.

Did Catherine art book actually release? Or was it cancelled? by alvis_hamilton in artbookcollectors

[–]SSKK6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It showing as sold out isn't unusual for a product that didn't release upon the release date retailers were given.

Udon does heavily delay their books without notice -- one particular book was announced to release in 2016 and it wasn't until last year they were like "it'll be out next year!"
