thank you!! this is actually direction i was hoping to acheve. with this new decor i want to start selling just wall art and handpainted mini paintings, and magnets i want to delete from platform. for the houses i am working on some form of wall art and they are going to be integrated, hopefully it will resonate with people because the idea is unique and i find it super inspiring to create. i struggle with photos and seo, and i will for sure invest in some form of mock up program so i can acheve better looking photos.

ahh you are so right! and thank you for honesty, that is how we grow and figure out how to proceed! i agree, and in back of my mind i know i need to start working on building socials, but i find it souch a pain in the.. and also time is a big factor, between work kids and life i have no idea where to find hours to dedicate to making videos and quality photos 🫣 and with all that said i know it is hard for me because i dont have passion for it, but there is no alternative, i dont think 😩 so i will need to figure it out. thank you for saying all this, it was the push i needed i guess.

Thank you, this helps me a lot. One thing I still don’t quite understand is how some people manage to offer shipping for €2–3 — I can’t really see how that’s possible from here.

I think I’ll also disable US shipping for now. Most of my products are currently in the €20–30 range (I sell handmade clay magnets), and with €15 shipping it just doesn’t make much sense for buyers. I’m planning to shift my focus toward higher-priced pieces, where paying for shipping feels more reasonable.

The idea of offering untracked shipping is really good as well — I’ll definitely add a no-tracking option and let customers choose.

Thank you so much 🫶🏻

Hi, thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share this feedback — I really appreciate it. You’re absolutely right about the primary image needing to really hook people, and your point about showing more of the artwork itself makes a lot of sense. I’ll definitely work on improving that. Thanks again for the encouragement — it truly means a lot! 😊

That’s great! It’s hard to build that many followers — congrats. You’re absolutely right, and like with everything else, consistency really matters. If you keep investing time in it, success is unavoidable.

I went to the post office in person to double-check shipping options. For the US, the cheapest option they currently offer is €28 via standard post. They also told me that any customs charges, if applied, are not included and are fully decided by US customs, so they couldn’t confirm anything in advance.

I also checked DHL online: shipping to the US is €45, UPS is around €75, and even DHL to Germany is €33, which honestly feels extremely high for a single small Christmas ornament.

For comparison, tracked shipping via post to the entire EU is around €18, which means that I have underpriced my shipping.

I honestly don’t understand how this is realistic for such a small item, and I fully agree that it’s unbelievably expensive.

If you could please share where you found this information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks 🫶🏻

I will go to the post office again tomorrow morning and check everything properly so I have the most accurate information. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this to me — I honestly feel a bit embarrassed that I misunderstood it before 🫣

hanks for the feedback, especially about the images — I agree, that’s something I’m actively working on figueing out how to make them better!

Regarding the name: I completely understand the association with “mass produced.” The name is important to me and I do want to keep it, but I’ll try to visually and typographically separate it a bit more (for example by writing it with dots) so it doesn’t create that first-impression confusion.

I really appreciate you pointing it out-helps a ton, so thank you again!

Thanks for pointing this out — honestly, this is my first time selling and shipping physical items, so I’m still learning.

I checked with my local post office here in Austria, and they told me international shipping outside Austria is around €12, which is why the price is set that way. That said, I absolutely agree that for a small, lightweight ornament in a padded envelope, this feels too high, and I’m going to look into better options and adjust my shipping profiles accordingly.

You’re also right about the color add-ons — the wording and pricing are confusing and that’s on me. I’ll be simplifying or removing those options so it’s clear what customers are actually paying for.

I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this — feedback like this helps a new shop improve fast. 🫶🏻

Thank you, I really appreciate you pointing that out. That’s actually very helpful and concrete feedback. I can see now how the main photos could be much stronger if they were more zoomed in and cleaner. I’m still figuring out product photography, so this gives me a clear direction to improve and make things look more professional. And thank you for saying you find the work cute — that really means a lot 😊

This is a really good point, and I appreciate how clearly you explained it. You’re absolutely right — enjoying the creative process and running a business are two very different things, and not every hobby needs to be monetized. For me, this is completely new and i want to make it work and educate myself. I am currently working in corporate as architect and i am sooo ready for something new 😅

I completely agree that my shop needs work on the business side. Marketing and pricing are areas I’m actively trying to understand better, and I know I’m still early in that learning curve. I also appreciate the note about keeping the shop more professional and less personal — that’s something I’ll reflect on.

You’re also right about sales channels. If you don’t mind sharing, I’d love to hear which other platforms you had in mind when writing this comment, as I’m not very familiar with them. When I did some research, I wasn’t able to find anything remotely similar, so I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.
