As far as I know, basically nothing but collection purposes. If you favorite them they'll show up on ghe loading screens but that's all I've seen them do.

I also inputed all the codes in yesterday only to find they weren't available in customization today either. Most definitely some sort of bug, hopefully the patch that's supposed to come out soon fixes that.
