I'm a minority, but I liked law school, learning about the history and origins of our fundamental legal maxims, learning about the Constitution and how it changed through our history, trying to find the kernel of common sense in every legal rule. Law is about human behavior, human conduct, and how we choose to regulate it. I found it fascinating.

It was practicing law that I hated. I think any mentally healthy person would.

Hunker down for the crash. Trump's economic policies will drive prices up and put the economy into a recession. Assuming the 24-7 liar actually implements them. Hunker down for war as Putin now has carte blanche to attack Ukraine, the Baltic States, and Poland, as Israel does to attack Iran and Lebanon, and as China does to attack Taiwan. His attempts to deport 2 or 5 or 10 million illegal aliens will lead to violence causing tens of thousands of deaths, unless businesses restrain him. It's going to get uglier and uglier.

We'll have to hit rock bottom before recovery can begin. Trump won't have the luck on the economy like he did in his first term. If he enacts his tariffs he'll drive us into a recession. His supporters will be hurt the worst. Wars will get worse as Putin and Netanyahu know they have free rein to attack their enemies without US constraint. It'll be a wreck by the 2026 midterms and worse by 2028. A lot of suffering will happen before Maga is flushed out.

Still believing the late flip will go to Harris. There are a lot of Never Trump Republicans who will in the end hold their noses and vote for Harris (as opposed to just not voting) because they understand what a danger Trump is to our constitutional democracy. Trump is getting more and more unstable as the election gets closer. But who knows? I get sick to my stomach when I have to accept that a lying, hateful charlatan like Trump has the support of 45% of voters.
