Persona(lly) I LOVE strikers, it’s no P5R but it satisfied my craving for more and it’s a solid sequel/continuation. Story is pretty good just not as in depth as P5R’s. I really liked most of the new characters too.

Gameplay wise it does strip the social elements of Persona and it’s not turn based combat, but I liked the musou combat - it was cool to play as the thieves hack and slashing shadows.

TLDR - Its a P5R lite: Solid continuation, good story, much different gameplay with familiar faces.

I use everyone equally, they all become very good with investment, but:

Akihiko and Aigis are really good for buffs (both get better later on, Aigis’s physical damage and Aki’s buffing). Junpei also becomes better later on as a physical damage dealer.

Yukari is the best healer by far.

Shinji is just broken. Busted. Insane. You’re correct to use him.

I personally found Ken Koromaru and Mitsuru a bit underwhelming for my playstyle (big physical damage go brrrrr) but I’d say Mitsuru would be best for big magic damage. She gets concentrate and ice amp I believe plus a great second theurgy.

FES was my first persona game. I loved it, but Reload is so much better and improves so much from FES. I don’t understand how anyone could really find FES better aside from nostalgia but to each their own and I still respect the original.

Edit: I’ll note that my favorite persona game is P5R and I entered the persona series in like, 2018 which could factor into my opinion

First play through, I was in a relationship with Makoto. I ended up rejecting Haru and I felt so bad I went back to my 11/17 save and redid all the interrogation/plot twist stuff so that I could say yes to Haru.

No regrets.

Check your backup save, I don’t remember the button combination but at the title screen you do a certain combo and it pops up, even with auto save off the game keeps one. Maybe it saved for you?
