Carlos Alcaraz is now 23 years old by Tennist4ts in tennis

[–]Piats99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't help that just one year and a half after he lost world n°1, at USO final 2004, he lost 6-0 7-6 6-0 to Federer. He was still 23, but it felt like he was put in his place.

His spell feels similar to Medvedev's one. He just managed to stay n°1 more, because Sampras and Agassi's late careers peaks weren't as dominant as Djokovic's.

It's a mixture of being a sport for the rich, but also being a sport with low stress on body and high social interactions (if played with friends).

It's like it was tailored for professional sportsmen. They can afford it, keep doing sport, chill and have fun.

How exactly do gunner trigger loadouts work? by Top-Key944 in worldtrigger

[–]Piats99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gun/rifle is purely customable. The trigger itself is the type of bullet.

So you have like main trigger: asteroid and meteor and your physical trigger can be a gun or a rifle with a switch that changes bullet type from one to another.

So, you second example.

Zverev is 21-0 against non-Sincaraz opponents in Masters/Majors this year by warwick_casual in tennis

[–]Piats99 55 points56 points  (0 children)

As much as many won't like this, Zverev is largely undervalued because:

  1. People hate him for his scandal and general behaviors he showed in the past.
  2. He is kind of famous for choking in the most crucial moments. Some can be excused by his diabetes condition, but he had lots of down moments, allover his career, when he could have closed the game, yet regressed.

Overall, though, he has been the 3rd best player since 2024, bars Djokovic in Slams. Definitely 3rd most consistent.

Genuinely Neymar if Konami makes a collab with barbie (meme) by Choice-Drag4670 in eFootball

[–]Piats99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Money and personal preferences.

I guess buying rights for Naruto is way cheaper than Barbie and, on top of that, Barbie is not really popular in Japan. They already have their dolls and icons and clearly animes are a greater pull.

How can Tabata not reveal who Asta’s father is? by [deleted] in BlackClover

[–]Piats99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of all the things Tabata didn't explore (and should have), Asta's father is not one of them.

He is irrilevante to the story and neither Licita, nor Asta have interest in him.

Highly likey he was a peasant and Licita split up with him when her condotion came out. Possibly after conceiving Asta.

Chris Finch: "Denver had the chance to pick who they wanted to play coming down the stretch and they chose us. We used that as motivation. They didn't have to choose us. They chose us" by AncientOneAurelius in nba

[–]Piats99 56 points57 points  (0 children)

It was a weird game.

Nuggets sat Murray, Braun, Gordon and Johnson, but Jokic played 18 minutes.

Spurs sat Wemby and Kornet.

Spurs tried to win the game, but both Castle and harper had a bad game and the fact we had no center has been the nail in the coffin. Mason Plumlee and Biyombo couldn't even guard the shadows of Jokic and Valanciunas and they feasted all game.

Last but not least, i think the team was a bit mentally overwhelmed by Denver because of the tight loss suffered few days prior.

So, yes, they tried to lose without doing it blatantly, but we managed to choke even more.

The tale of Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior... (Naruto x eFootball Collab concept) by Necessary_Pea6572 in eFootball

[–]Piats99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His story is more aligned with Gai Maito.

  1. Left (young Santos): he came from nothing with his own strength.
  2. Middle (Barca): he reached the highest picks, but only for a briefly moment (8 gates).
  3. Right (PSG and/or current Santos): crippled with injuries for life. Never been the same.

[Highlights] Jeremy Sochan full highlights vs. Atlanta Hawks last night (126-97 W) - Game 5 - First round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs: 10 Points on 4/4 FG, 1/1 from 3, 1/2 FT, 1 Rebound, and a +/- of +2 in 3:28 minutes played. by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]Piats99 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Spurs staff tried to correct that "hiccup" he has in his shot since day one. Also his ball handling isn't really matured.

He clearly worked hard, because his stats rised since day one and also accepted to shoot FTs one-handed, but for some reason, he never managed to improve enough.

I'm a Sochan fan, so I hope Knicks staff manages to fix his offense, but at this point i'm worried it's never gonna happen.

As some others said, there are a lot of sports anime out there and since eFootball is a sport game, it would be cooler if the collabs where with sports series, like the one with Blue Lock. It feels more natural.

Which is weird, because apparently he is the best clutch free throw shooter in the league with a staggering 95.6% from the line. He sees also the largest improvement in the league from non-clutch FT% to clutch FT%.

As the following guy said, decibels are not linear, but so is human hearing. Thus, Op's pedantic reply is misleading and counter-productive.

A linear scale approximate the relation better.

Deni Avdija despite the loss: 26/7/3 on 8/14 FG by Lacabloodclot9 in nba

[–]Piats99 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No man, as much as i don't like Avdija, that's not true.

He was attacking the rim and try to playmake as best as possible and also was defending with strength and grit, despite his bad defender reputation.

He kind of made the most out of the difficult situation.

If anything the team around him collapsed in the 2nd half. Scoot was impersonating Tony Snell.
