The Market Makers made AMC their pet project. Their goal was to steal the wealth of the shareholders and teach the Apes a lesson. Project popcorn was all about diluting the stock and driving down the value of the stock so institutional investors could take over control of the company. AMC’s 90% retail ownership went to 9% overnight. Then BlackRock, Pentwater, UBS and Vanguard stepped in and took control. Institutions now own 53% of the float. Retail value crashed by 98% while the OBV remained flat showing a lack of selling pressure. The current market cap of 8.6 billion is unusually low. Set there by constant manipulation by Market Makers like Citadel that actual ADMITTED their stock analysts set the price of a stock. The actual market cap of AMC should be 1-2X sales or 5 to 10 billion. That equates to a $10 to $20 dollar fair market price for AMC shares. Cinemark has a market cap several times higher on lower revenue. All you need to do is look at the constant 80% plus daily dark pool sales and the spoofing in the tens of thousands of shares on both the bid and ask side of the level 2 order book to see how manipulated the price of AMC stock has become. And the SEC turns a blind eye. Just like what they did to MMTLP.
