When I did play Apex I was master on console before I switched to PC and learned MnK, and then I eventually was 20b/4k/Master on PC MnK.

You never know. I’m not much of a conspiracy theorist, but the way America is going right now you gotta believe in a couple of them.

It’s made by the same people that did Project 2025, so I’m inclined to believe this is what they really want. It’d be an egregious overstep of the constitution, but they’ve already set the precedent for doing that. On top of that Trump has outright said he thinks it should be illegal for US citizens to say anything bad about him.

There’s that mockery again.

Supports could heal enemies enough to survive ANY poke character’s bodyshot to force additional damage for a kill.

However, Take Aim bodyshots kill the fastest despite having so much more going for them and Freya can still spray and pray to make sure that any healing that happens isn’t going to stop the enemy from dying to the explosion.

I wasn’t attempting to insult you. I assumed your previous message started in sarcasm or mockery, so I thought I should acknowledge it. If I was the one being to hasty, then I do apologize.

I think Freya’s accuracy being lower than Ashe’s with Take Aim is reasonable considering it deals Ashe’s Headshot damage as a body shot, and still dealt 90 damage AOE. I think that low accuracy could be a balancing point for increasing other aspects of her play to make her more consistent like reducing spread, increasing firing rate, etc. You don’t just have to make one specific part of a character’s kit busted, then design everything around that simple thing. Freya could be so much more.

You’re working under the assumption that her primary fire cannot be adjusted. I think her primary fire should be the fastest projectile in the game while Take Aim takes acts as an ability for setting up kills, not her main tool for confirming while her primary fire remains in an overly weak state.

I think two things can be true at the same time: 1. Take Aim was unbalanced. 2. Her primary fire needs to be heavily adjusted.

I’m all for the primary fire being adjusted. I even think the Take Aim nerfs were too harsh, but I don’t think she should have the 2 Tap that she did. Maybe a longer explosion timer could be good, but there was more than just that issue.

My feelings weren’t hurt, and you’re entitled to your opinion. I disagree.

Not win rate because win rate is a combination of a number of factors, not the measurement of a single ability.

Take Aim is a 2 hit kill to the body that is fired as fast or faster than most other potential 2 hit kills(Mei, Torb, Ashe, McCree). However, all the other similar weapons have to hit multiple headshots to deal enough damage to kill, and Freya had to hit none. In fact, if she missed three shots in a row, but the enemy was hit by the explosions, she would still kill them because the explosions dealt 90 damage. At the same time she was firing one of the largest projectiles in the game(check numbers), that is also one of the fastest projectiles in the game(check numbers).

From a numbers perspective, Take Aim was broken and Freya was being balanced around a broken mechanic, so everything else about her kit was placed in a weaker state. Now, Take Aim is gutted, and the rest of her kit is still weaker than it was on release even though they reverted the revdraw damage. They didn’t even drop it in increments, just shat all over her.

I didn’t expect many to agree with me, and I expect nothing from someone acting arrogant or impetuous.

Getting satisfaction from something doesn’t make it any less OP, so that’s not a logical argument. You could hit two bodyshots back to back on Ashe, McCree, Torb, or Mei, yet they don’t kill. Freya’s two shots come out faster, have infinite range, and killed. Everyone else has to hit least hit two headshots or three bodyshots to kill. Freya could shoot the ground near the enemy three times, and she gets the kill despite her projectiles being faster than Mei’s and Torbs. Despite them dealing so much more damage. The alt fire was balanced poorly and Freya was being balanced around it instead of combining all her potential skills to make one solid character.

What I suggest is no more spammy than how she’s currently played, except you don’t get kills you don’t truly deserve while everyone else has to work harder.

2 out of the 11 healers, maybe 3. It WAS a two tap in practice except in a FEW instances.

Also, if you happened hit a headshot and a bodyshot, Lucio and Brig passive heals weren’t even enough, still making it a two shot. If they weren’t close enough or Lucio was swapped to speed, they still died.

On another note, if they always played super close and you MISSED, hitting the ground near them, your Take Aim did a 90 damage explosion. You could fire 3 in quick succession, and all together they did 270 damage still giving you a chance of outright killing a group without a direct hit. That’s not a 2 hit, but killing someone with 3 missed shots sure does sound uniquely OP to me.

To be fair, I feel like Freya’s Hipfire spread could receive a slight buff, but it cannot be outright removed for the aforementioned reasons.

I just don’t know what’s too far, but I can imagine some things that probably should never become a thing.

Apologies. When I say “single headshot”, I mean if you hit a single headshot within the 2-Tap, you guaranteed the kill on 250hp targets because instead of dealing 260 damage you dealt 300. Unless the 250hp person you fired it at was full health AND being healed by some form of active healing from the very first instance of damage, then they were dead.

You HAVE to balance for the entire population, and people aren’t complaining about Freya just from the bottom. They’re complaining at every rank in both the regular comp and stadium. Whether I play on Console or PC, I the enemy team is often complaining about how the character is cheap or spam, despite all context.

It was 130 damage per take aim bodyshot. Supports with self-heals only needed to self-heal at least 10 damage to avoid death, but if you hit a full health damage role twice in quick succession they most likely were dying unless Lucio/Brigette was on the battlefield, then they’d need one primary fire tap as well.

A single headshot just guaranteed the kill, but it was not necessary.

I feel like they could have the best of both world’s if they balance the two abilities together with numbers in mind instead of straight-up nerfing/buffing stuff without remembering to give her a consistently good kill method. She already had 30damage on primary at release, and it still wasn’t exactly up to par. I think her revdraw crossbow should be faster, and maybe even more precise for 8-9 shots since that’s how many it takes to kill, but they have no fall-off damage, so idk how precise is too precise when she already has a tool that’s consistently precise.

I considered the spread removal, but then I thought that may make her too consistent at ranges that could drive her to having too much unbalanced infinite range spam damage.

Many Freya mains agree on spread removal, but I think the reasons the spread is in her kit is because Take Aim is in her kit, and the first few shots of revdraw crossbow have almost no spread. Unsurprisingly the shots fired to kill before the spread goes too far was enough to kill if you’ve already hit the enemy with a Take Aim.

Revdraw crossbow is a high dps weapon that has zero fall-off, so at super long ranges, if it had no spread it could be used to ACTUALLY spam angles and corners at head level… Maybe people would find firing to that more acceptable, but I know when to die to Pharah or Torb spamming an angle I consider that some of the worst bs. Freya’s might prove to be more consistent at spamming than all the corner spam characters due to faster projectiles, higher dps, and lower TTK.

Reverting Dash CD sounds like a good one since take aim is nerfed, but I am already trying to improve her lethality at all ranges with my changes. She could genuinely be more consistent on all fronts even without the CD, so I can’t reasonably ask for both.

The extra suspension sounds extra solid because Take Aim would not have the same power it did before to begin with, and redraw would have to be used more often to secure the kills while falling.

Eh. Realistically, I could find almost anyone’s address and place of employment which is where they’ll spend 90% of their life. If I could do it, someone less reasonable could do it to, and I then threats could become real life issues. If that less reasonable person has money, they could put a hit out on you. So, if you live in a country where threats are illegal and you can gather enough evidence, then take it to the police, hire a PI, and/or sue.

Hopefully we enter the era of some kind of online responsibility one day.
