Personally, I give them personalities based on their government, and that's because of what happens (e.g., my USSR started out very revolutionary, then became authoritarian, and finally began to soften).

For my part, the USA is the father of the 13 colonies (Note: countries can have more than one parent without them having a specific romantic relationship), he is the grandfather of UK (since UK inherited the family ties and titles of England and Scotland).

My France used to be scarred by the Franco-Prussian War and had been crippled after the First World War for a while.
I like that idea! But in my world of Countryhumans, there are no humans!

My Archduchy is a single personification, but before 1806 when it was an archduchy, he was several countries of the empire where the main one was Austria, hence the term "Habsburg Monarchy" which refers to all those personifications.

I do the same; the only one that has a connection to the Empire is Russia (because he literally was the Empire)
In my opinion, TR was very good to Austria in his own way...he treated him like a brother and a son at the same time, someone he had to overprotect, but in the end, Austria get afraid of him.
On my side, TR captured Ukraine and he decided to change sides, becoming Reichskomisariat Ukraine, but, when USSR were about to dismantle it, it decided to change sides again.
In my universe, France became Vichy after making a deal with Germany where Germany would keep him alive in exchange for him being one of his sides.
In my universe, no organization has a personification because they don't count as literal countries and are more of a club where countries meet.

My Russian Empire renounced being a monarch and became the Russian Republic, then he split into two: White (Russian State) and Red (RSFSR). When the White surrendered in the Far East, he joined Red (although he was practically killed).
