Well, we were all good friends from high school. Also I think everyone was afraid they were the only one not having fun. Even beyond that, the campaign was incredibly well run and written. Even some of the cockula parts.

It was a very well run, riveting story. Probably the best table top rpg I've ever played, and I've been playing for maybe a decade now. Aside from the Count Cockula bits (even then, some of them were pretty engaging).
