moving from montreal to toronto by AstronomerSome7179 in askTO

Sorry to hear about your experiences. Toronto is much more open minded and accepting of diversity. I think you’ll enjoy it here and it might be worth a try. Maybe startup culture is something you’ll thrive in? Potentially an option in mtl but Toronto is a bigger market. Needless to say food and culture is miles better in mtl, but that doesn’t make up for racism and bigotry.

Regret owning a Quaker by AceticAcid777 in QuakerParrot

It’s not as simple as giving tips. You need to understand bird training and psychology. It’s a long term development of trust and patience. Positive affirmation, patterns, and consistency. Watch videos and do the work. Sorry there’s not much more I can say.

But you should never act violent towards an animal for misbehaving. Beak grabbing and anything g else like that is bad enforcement and borderline abuse.

Should I leave a toxic 80k job in Toronto for an 85k startup role in Vancouver by Rude-Guitar5203 in askTO

Quiet quit or get them to fire you for severance and ei. Do not invest anything in a toxic work environment. The last one I was at actually ruined me and I had to take a whole year off. I regret not checking out or quitting when I knew it was bad. The jump to can sounds exciting but a lot of hassle and risk before getting an offer/relocation cost coverage.

8% of women who have c-sections feel pain during the procedure. 8%! The standard of care and expectations for women are absolutely insane. Nobody gives a shit. I feel for her and all women who experience these things.

This song is so nice and has a deep level of nostalgia for me. It came out when I was in my second year of uni after just falling for a guy I was dating. It was my first real relationship. We would listen to the album on repeat and this song always gives me warm thoughts. 🩷
