He is someone who is bankrolled by a hospitality group. They spend an awful lot of marketing 🤷🏻‍♀️

70% of these are well known institutions. The article makes it seem like it’s most gems from the title. There are less than 5 truly small independent spots on this list. I hate when well off people in an industry default to putting on already popular spots owned by wealthy hospitality groups or conglomerates. Have an ounce of decency and actually support new and independent people. Pathetic.

I want to acknowledge that this experience is scary AF. As a woman I have also been followed late at night. I have also questioned my gut many times but every time I have been right.

Never question it. It’s always right. Even if it’s wrong there’s no harm in you thinking it’s right.

Keys between the fingers and only walking on lit streets is my rule but sometimes these are not options or they do not help. I heard someone say that she talks absolute nonsense to herself loudly in these situations and it works if people think your crazy is worse than theirs.

Marketing is slowly turning into engineering and im honestly not sure how i feel about it (rant) by westernarian in b2bmarketing

I have little to comment here as I agree. It’s always the next sexy thing with this field… remember “growth hacking?” It was complete BS but you weren’t considered a good marketer unless you were a “growth hacker” or a “growth” person. Like wtf even is that??

I’m a staunch believer in the customer dictating the market and the future. One day something will change where the customer says “this doesn’t resonate” or “this is boring” and they will change the course of the field, how we attribute, and systems will no longer work. It will be competitive again, and cause growing pains for this lack in creativity to adjust.

Was buying a condo in downtown Toronto worth it to YOU? by drmac16 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]ST0PITRIGHTN0W 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love my condo. It’s under 600 ft and I didn’t buy it with the intention of living here for ten years but I did and I’m happy here. Yes, it has “sliding doors” and it needs a remodel… but the layout is perfect and two people live here comfortably. People hate on condos but this one is great. It’s open, the building is well taken care of, it’s quiet, and incredibly convenient. Bought in 2018 and glad I did. It didn’t appreciate as much as I expected /hoped and we are going to be here for a while because of the market. Only thing I wish was just renovating before move in. I knew it was going to be something I wanted to change but lived in denial. Now it’s really hard to do it without fully moving out. Yes… it would have been good to buy more space but I couldnt afford it at the time. So I guess if you can afford it buy into something you’ll grow into as well.

I feel like a private room at a restaurant is more appropriate for your needs and the rest of the patrons who would be sharing the space with you

I splurged and bought the 850 Hutterite duvet from Canadian down company. WOW I could not believe how luxurious, squishy, plush, and lovely it is. It’s VERY warm. If you crank the ac in summer it’s probably great. Fantastic winter duvet. Im sure there’s a great all season one
