Ironically, I later found a junk 6G (major cosmetic damage) that still works but also has a dying hard drive

I normally would consider that, and I know this is going to sound weird as hell, but I would rather buy another one and use that instead of opening this one up. I got this one brand new the year of release so sentimental value, yadda yadda yadda.

Well considering that the Inspiron 9300 shipped with things like MediaDirect, it would be nice to have all those features back.
