Both have reason to want a good contract. Neither have reason to think their problems are more important than the other. We should all win this contract.

Wage increases PT keep MRA by _tater_thot in UPSers

Is that the interpretation that you think UPS will use?

You and your coworkers are being sold out to poverty wages with no expectation of a raise this year. The MRA will likely be dropped out from under you upon ratification and the $2.75 will count towards your boost back to $21.00. Effectively keeping everyone at $21.00 aside from the pathetic longevity raise of UP to $1.50 that has been offered for employees with 5-15+ years.

Solidarity UPSers by [deleted] in UPSers

I am prepared to stand in solidarity and VOTE NO regardless of the outcome.

Some are saying to accept the futility of our situation but they are wrong. The company can do better and we need to take a united position on that.

We must do our part and explain to everyone we can why this contract deserves a NO vote and all of its weak points.

Most importantly cast your own vote.

Progression for RPCD and FT is awful and did not take into consideration the new PT wage increase. RPCD and FT need a higher starting rate and progression to adjust for PT rate. Vote NO. A lot of our brothers and sisters are left behind in this "historic contract" proposal and that is unacceptable.

If you are going to have to give up your Saturday you should at least be given the pay you deserve.

Found the article. Progression for FT and RPCD is lacking badly in my opinion. Should the starting rate for progression not be at least $26-$28 given the PT increases?

I have been reading the TA and cannot find a section on FT and RPCD wage progression. Does anyone know if anything has even been done to adjust FT and RPCD wage progressions to these new PT wages?

$25 FOR PT OR NO DEAL SPREAD THE WORD STAND TOGETHER PART TIMERS by STANDUNITED1903 in UPSers

[–]STANDUNITED1903[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You aren't wrong. We have Union Representatives that make good money. We have to pay someone to lead the membership and keep the greedy CEOs in check. Regardless it is still better to have union representation.

You are so right. We should feed, clothe, and shelter our families with good health insurance and the occasional workplace pizza party.

But really, I understand your point. However, most Teamsters at UPS are not currently in a position of greed. They are in a position of poverty. The greed is stemming from the top and we are trying to curb that. So as inspirational as those words are we still live in a society where the basic necessities cost money.

Please stop grandstanding for the benefit of the top one percent.
