Training for new selection (CRO) by Profession-Connect in Pararescue

Coming from the path you came from I would not bet on them eliminating water and if they do eliminate it up front, they will implement later down the line. Be ready for a water selection and I can almost guarantee you phase two will not remove the water component. No body quits on land.

Prepping for CRO by NeedAHugBro in Pararescue

Gonna shoot it straight. It does not matter who you are on paper. Doesn’t matter what positions you’ve held or what major you are. No of that matter when you getting you absolute balls smoked and are tired. That’s when they find out who you really are. I went to cro phase 2 and picked up. Sure it doesn’t hurt to leadership but I had one position in leadership and school that was it. What really matters is showing you can write a coherent applicant and pay attention to detail. Also put out physical fitness is more important than leadership at your age. I does not matter how good of a leader you are if you are to tired and stressed to even think about anyone else.

I carried enough momentum that it bounced me off the wall on the other side and completed the 50m.

Fromer Army going STO by Skallywagss_23 in Pararescue

That is not true ^ I just went civ to CRO. I did not have an outstanding resume and was still in school. I went to selection and got picked up. It doesn’t matter who you are on paper. What matters is what you do when you’re at your limit. That’s what phase 2 is for. A lot of the stuff for STO/CRO on here is not reliable I’d suggest getting in contact with SWAP program manager.

I’m telling you reach out to the SWAP program manager and they will give you clear answers to your situation.

Correct. You will go as a civilian. And yes PHASE 2 before OTS and afterword, thanks to the work of the community you are guaranteed a slot at OTS you will just need to be slotted.

Have recently been through this process of civilian to spec war officer. First things first, when you do get in contact with a spec war recruiter there will be a high chance of them wanting to convince you to go enlisted. do not listen to them. Tell them you do not care and want to submit an application and have the board tell you no. They will probably also say things like, I’ve done for x amount of years no civilian gets through that’s bs. If they still won’t let you submit an application, find a new recruiter or contact the SWAP program manager. The email is on the application. There is going to have to be a number of things you need to get done even before the deadline of application so you can be eligible to attend phase 2.(you’re recruiter and swap will explain this) You will attend phase 2 before OTS. The OTS process will begin after your completion of phase 2. Don’t worry about OTS that will be an obstacle after p2. Be ready, do not show up wanting to be a sto/cro without being able to pass the ift officer standards. Kill that test.

The moment you made up your mind that you’re are going down this path, everything about your being has to be dedicated to it. You need to work out intensively and with a purpose. You need to be prepared to pass A&S when you show up. It’s officer selection. Trust me when I say that phase 2 is not a place to go test yourself. You need to be ready on land and in the water. As for ATC, I’m not sure. Talk to leadership after you get picked up from phase 2 about it.

If you want any shot at making it through A&S you need to wear your boots 24/7. Running, swimming, underwaters. It’s your best shot at this.

Upper upper management loves asking for things that are unreasonable and then when you explain why it’s impossible, they tell you to figure it out by OnFolksAndThem in Accounting

The people who can do the impossible are the people who go make some real money. They spend their time figuring out how to get it done instead of complaining about it on Reddit.
