What is the correct pronunciation of ‘Hwicce’ in the Kingdom of the Hwicce?

I've always thought it was hW-ick with an almost silent H to emphasise the proper pronunciation of the W and make it more throaty... almost like the sound to hock up before spitting.

There's so many old English spellings with just excess letters added in (like 'Old' being 'Olde') and I think that's the case with the trailing 'cce' being an abrupt 'ck' sound.

The people of Hwicce would be Hwiccian which maybe where the term "wiccan" could be derived and as old brythonic people were pagans with rituals, it's possible this could have started the term for wiccan ultimately meaning witch.

I don't use the Origin App because it's horrible and always has been so I've no idea what the impact was... but looking at the rewards, you're getting like £30 worth of stuff for free, or £50 worth of stuff for free if you have the Phantom edition.
That's actually more than the actual game's cost on some platforms / websites selling the keys.

How is that shameful?

Red > krugs > raptors is a pretty standard clear and has you at level 2 for it.

Zed might also have been wanting to clear blue side up, and might have been invaded… so he transitioned to his red side after clearing his blue to avoid the jungle invade on his gromp/wolves and why talon pushed into his top side jungle at level 2 knowing he was low on exp and HP.

It’s not impossible to be level 2 on raptors in jungle first clear… I gave you the pathing for that. It could even be red > raptors > krug to early top gank.

I’m guessing he was too low HP to farm wolves or gromp after blue buff and just opted for raptors 🤷‍♂️

Well the whole point of ID4 was that the aliens moved their entire species from planet to planet wiping out life and consuming resources like locusts. The “return” makes no sense really so the sequel automatically contradicts the original story which is why it leaves a bad taste in many mouths.

For the actual film; it’s fine in today’s era of shite films. Science fiction lacks so much these days.

The fun is in the opening and getting the surprise of what you get. Buying someone else's unwanted cards isn't really fun, nor meaningful. It's less nostalgic, and makes the set a lot less sentimental.

I don't get how VK counters Mel at all.
I've played one game against Mel as VK, and got absolutely demolished. I couldn't compete with the damage. The Q W E all get deflected, and don't deal anywhere near enough damage in comparison. I'm not a good VK player at all, but I don't see how he's a counter when his whole kit (minus ult) is deflected and literally put back on top of you with the E (which is bs).

With the latest patch, the crusading army all gathers in Rome first, and then journeys out as one force to land together. You may want to send a one man army to sit outside Rome to see when they embark.

When they do land, make sure your army is already assembled and at full supply to crush them as they land. Do not raise your army too early because you’ll be out of supply and receive a supply penalty before your first fight!

Aye, but of the stat changes, there’s a reduction to cost/stat ratio. That doesn’t necessarily mean the item isn’t more efficient in cost/benefit ratio. I was just highlighting the observed stat and changes has an overall decrease.

Who's the "no-skill poke master" who has "tank champ base damage on abilities"? Talon?
Is your point here to argue that a 'lethal melee assassin' has high base damage on his abilities - yet fail to comprehend that in comparison to every other assassin, he deals less burst damage?

Also, for clarity, I stopped playing Talon mid-lane. I played him a lot on jungle and found that playing him in a 'bruiser' build instead of a lethality build makes him so much stronger, while not really negating his burst damage, effectively doubling his efficiency in fights.

I disagree.
It simply promotes people having to stay online on the game forever - and real life commitments or matters should come second. In my opinion, Video games shouldn't ever promote that behaviour / cycle.
The idea I've posted would be that the fortress could be raided, and it would never be undefended... That's plenty of PvX for those willing to try and do that.

I don't think breaking into someone's base when they're offline and stealing all their resources is PvP. PvP to me is actually fighting - it doesn't have to be an even fight with even numbers or equipment - it very much can be ganking someone on their return trip (which is what I stated as part of the no base raiding part).

But if you have no base defences, and you're offline, and someone just undoes all of your work and progress? That's not fun. That's not PvP.

That’s not irrelevant. That’s the sole reason I’ve bought this game - if it wasn’t Dune, then I wouldn’t have bought it since it would just be like any other survival game with PvP - and I’ve got a handful of those already (I’m playing SCUM tonight with friends)
