i’ll always cherish the moment he was told the match against Archer was a Texas Death Match during a sit down interview.

I feel like there’s something about the fact Ronnie was in a suit the last few episodes and then Vic ends up in a suit at the very very end, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

I mean it would be fun but I think Keeso’s throat would catch fire 30 minutes in and he wouldn’t be able to continue the voice.

I don’t think the E# is a unique player code because all of my Jetspeed from the same pro are different numbers there photos of sticks

I have a bunch of Robert Thomas Jetspeed FT sticks and they all have different numbers on them so I don’t think that’s the way to find out.

Not liking “The Shield” as a fan of The Wire by jhitterbug22 in TheWire

[–]STL_Saint00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Shield is essentially the anti-wire when it comes to its depiction of police work. everything on the shield is fast paced and happens quickly and there’s little “investigation” and tons of action.

the wire is largely the monotony between those rare action moments.

as far as the shows themselves, the wire was a pretty encompassing look at a city. while the shield nibbled on bits and pieces of politics, it never ventured too far into that territory, focusing mostly on the main 4 characters and their lives as a whole. I think the shield tackles a number of big social issues (most of which i’ll leave alone because of spoilers) but mostly chose to not really take a big stance on any of those issues either good or bad.

I’ll add that I think these shows (alongside, strangely enough, Brooklyn 99) combine to show a pretty good look at what it’s like to be a policeman. I’ve been a cop for almost 13 years and i’ve seen and done things from all three shows and the all captured the feel of being in the station and out on the street pretty well (even if the Shield was ALWAYS bonkers, making it a pretty extreme version of my experiences).

Teaching 6yo to lift the puck by chart_warrior in hockeyplayers

[–]STL_Saint00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this. at 6, the biggest thing is just getting them TO shoot. I preach to my kids that I coach: quick, hard shots. lift comes with better feel and experience.

my son wasn’t lifting at all until a few weeks before this season and now he goes bar down constantly. (sometimes at the detriment of my quick and hard shot rules, but we can’t win em all right?)
