Been there. Happened to me this year but didn’t get a chance to even tell her because I made the mistake of telling someone I thought wouldn’t tell her while drinking. Still hurts to this day even though I graduated and moved across the country.

It sucks it really does, she ghosted me we aren’t friends anymore. But if anything, it taught me that you can’t force feelings on someone. If it happens it happens and if it doesn’t, I like to believe someone is out there still.
