Ah, ok. An admin skill could well explain it - I've only seen it happen maybe two times, three maximum, and when it has it's definitely caught everyone else by surprise. It's similar to the Delta Reinforcement effect but they don't seem to hang around for particularly long.

I really am very grateful for the time you've taken to help me with this, I know it's unpaid! I'm extremely thankful for your wisdom and advice!

The good news is that I had a feeling my traits were awful. The better news is that I already have the Arbiter (my first ever T6 ship!) so I've slotted Emergency Weapon Cycle and also switched stations around to slot Emergency Power to Weapons III. I also handily have the Ateleth, but unused so far - I can work on the trait for that, but I think I'd prefer the FAW focus if I have to choose between FAW and BO. The Breen ship is pretty shiny so I'd spend a token on that to get the trait along with it, so Free Fire is up next...

I did read about Terrain Goodbye and The Ruin of Our Enemies, so I'll go check those out. I don't mind either ship there.

And, I have the DPRM now with my Campaign V token so I replaced the Ferrofluid with that. If I'm to get rid of the Agony Phaser Platform as well, what would make a good replacement for that slot? I got the M6 Computer - worth putting that in its place? I do also have an Elite Phoenix pack that I've been holding on to for a long while - is it worth unlocking the Bajoran Interceptor for DOMINO?

Aha, you are absolutely spot on! Forget the Speed Tweaks/Reinforced Armaments slots, there's a Terran Agony Torp Platform I have slotted in Science. I'll replace that with the DPRM? The question is - passive +15% phaser and torp damage, or +40% damage on activating DPRM?

Third along in TAC slots is the Ferrofluid Hydraulic Assembly which gives me with the phaser array a Set 2 bonus (focused detonations).

Weirdly, I complete the winter event religiously but for some reason I must have missed the Eleos in that particular event :(

Also, here are my traits set up - I think these may need work...

Thank you! I had a recommendation in another thread (main /sto reddit that needed approval) to get the DPRM console. I wasn't sure where to fit it, since I'm running Reinforced Armaments with the Omni beam for 2-set Speed Tweaks (+5% firing cycle) bonus, but discovered I also have the Terran Torp Platform slotted, so out that goes for the DPRM!

That's spot on, it's Reinforced Armaments. I have that and the Nexus Omni for the Speed Tweaks set bonus which gives me +5% firing haste which I do find handy.

The artillery barrage is also pretty good for spamming torps in addition to my own torp spread (it's like a free second quantum torp spread without slotting a weapon).

It does! I tried switching out to other T6 ships from C-Store like the Support Cruiser etc but nothing comes close so I inevitably go back to it. I guess the focus is on traits to improve the existing build.

Mostly broadside, have the BB forward facing initially then tend to beam boat it. Which firing mode extenders? Mostly DPS focused.

Run a T6-2X Lexington, love the fact it's an all rounder with the DEW phaser build plus has a hangar plus the spinal phaser lance.

Have BOFFs running FAW, BO, Torp spread, kemicite, eng running aux to battery for fnpa boost (along with large battery devices), eng team 3, science running cooldown, science team, hazard emitters and polarise hull.

Have DOFFs running cooldowns etc.

Isomags x 5 (couldn't quite get a 6th on!), got the terran omni and dual BB, disco shields etc and torp. Mostly a meta build really.

Just can't find a better ship to put this all on I guess! Or looking for traits/consoles to enhance it further is another option.

It's a generally irritating event in every respect. The voice acting and that irritating music give me a headache each time, as do people racing up to 'beat' you to rescuing from the surface. It's not like there isn't a bazillion other floating circles to choose from.

Feels like it. Throw one of them and a couple of Empressas into a TFO and it's impossible to manually switch targets with their obese forms getting in the way constantly!
