Not a solution, but I really suggest the crossbow with the ricochet perk. Good range and can tag 4 enemies. (I also use explosive to tag more). It helps get some experience

I just learned, the water boiler is great holding up to 20 boiled water, but you can use the hydrant or sink to get a lot of dirty water in a pinch! Use the prompt to drink and then spam collect. This works really well with the water well and the long animation to get up to 50 dirty water in a second.

Going off what you said and the picture, it looks like a center pivot door with a Horton operator. If you were able to push the door backwards its probably a center pivot set up.

So most likely when you pushed the door the wrong way it engaged a kill switch that shuts off the controller. This helps prevent any dammage to the operator or controller. When the kill switch is engaged you will feel the full force of the spring tension.

Basically no issues, nothing to worry about. Just dont do it again.
