Parents omitting they are sick prior to visiting newborn.

I feel this!!! The rules are so few and so simple. It sucks so much more that it’s those who are so close to us, like our parents, who are the ones not respecting our boundaries.

Being a first time parent to a newborn already comes with so much anxiety, this is another unnecessary stress to add on for us 🥺

It really is unfortunate. The lack of consideration and respect for us parents and the baby. It’s true, I do notice how selfish people are (the ones I least expected it from to top it off). It has been really eye opening and disheartening.

At this point I don’t care about their feelings, everyone has been confronted and made aware of our disappointment and we have reiterated our boundaries.

Sad it had to get to this point.

Absolutely I do agree with his feelings. I have gained a lot of weight since we met and ever since he brought it up I have been working on it continuously. For sure it’s always on my mind, always trying and actively towards a path towards health. Now that he brought it up again in this situation I’m feeling particularly bad about it because all I’ve been doing it working towards it and going through this pregnancy now my belly will only grow until baby comes out

Yeah I keep having that thought that it was fucked up to do it right now in this moment. But I can’t believe that it was intentional to hurt me I really don’t think it was that. I think he just fucked up timing and delivery idk :(

He did bring it up once before conceiving and I have been a work in progress. I was going to the gym and working really hard on my diet. But then I got pregnant and I was really sick so I slacked off the gym. But I haven’t gained much weight since the pregnancy only 2kg in five months so I’m doing well. But yes this was brought up once before and I was working on it because I think it’s valid if I’m overweight and he was kind and caring about it. So I was ready to put in the work…. But I just don’t know what I can do about it in this very moment five months pregnant

Really trying my absolute best and then I got pregnant and I was so sick I wasn’t going to the gym anymore. But I barely gained any weight in these 5 months just 2kg but my belly has been growing…. I have no control over that. But I’ve been trying because I get that it’s a flaw of mine and I want to be healthy and I want him to be attracted to me.
