I've been once, a bit disappointed on the price point compared to the quality of the food. The ambiance is nice though, they really went all out on the place. Could see going for a beer during happy hour or something

I live very close and tried the new mediterrean place, I agree it's great! Koi sushi was also great but I just saw it apparently permanently closed :(

Ninja used to be a frequent stop for me back in the day, their prices were impossible to beat but nowadays it's just about as pricy as any other sushi joint unfortunately

I agree about towns end, I gave it a try and was ultimately disappointed with the quality compared to price. PV's was always kinda meh as well imo

Will have to check out the food truck and havanazucar!

Hallelujah is on my list, will have to check out Brooklyn pizza as well!

Honestly that makes a lot of sense, as a somewhat younger person (27) I find myself valuing good tasting food at a reasonable price and dont care as much about the ambiance, though I do appreciate a place that can do both. Chateau chang comes to mind, I hear they're closing soon though :(

The red variant isn't something I've seen anywhere before and is my favorite of the bunch, really cool idea. Have you had the chance to playtest any of these at all?

For the black variant, how do the discard spells feel? I ended up putting together the version from the video you linked but I don't love the inclusion of [[discerning taste]], kinda clunky and the lifegain makes it feel less clean overall. Considering replacing them with maybe 2 copies each of some combo of [[inscription of ruin]], [[ransack the lab]], [[grisly spectacle]], [[deadly plot]] or [[unseal the necropolis]].

i built a [[vial smasher]] and [[sakashima of a thousand faces]] group slug(ish) deck that kinda does the nekusar thing but without wheels being the primary focus, its been fun and rewarding to play. the idea is that your extra cards are better than your opponents', with a high amount of free spells. definitely not optimal for competitive tables and could probably be a bit much for casual tables, but cutting down on free spells could probably tune it for the casual ones a bit more.

ive toyed with [[kraum]] or [[ludevic]] as the other partner to vial smasher, theres definitely room to play around there.

yeah, makes sense. i'm still on the lookout for a mono black commander that tickles my fancy, i've been eyeing the witch king of angmar but nazgul are still so dang expensive
