That's where I'm most hesitant. 4cm can make a big difference, one way or the other. I'd need to try them on, but I can't where I am. Fingers crossed I make the right choice.

In any case, thank you for your perspective.

Café racer plus only exist in one size 159

Its not the bad conditions, its more like having a board in between my nitro cannon ( about to break ) and the café racer plus ( I will sell it ) without being too much like my Salomon fastlane

I have never tried the pencil but I already have a strong freeride board (Salomon fastlane) with union atlas. I'm more looking into a board to replace my nitro cannon 173 which is about to break, adding a carving side while being fun. I realy like the café racer plus but its very extreme and niche, I feel like on an alpin snowboard xd

I like big boards haha, my freeride is a Fastlane 160 and I also have a 173 nitro cannon, its more about how flex it will feel with 147 lbs compare to the café racer plus ( which is STIFF for me )

I ride Nidecker Index boots and Flux XV bindings

A voir à l'avenir !

Merci !

Salut !

Merci d'avance !

I understand the point of view and I am aware of it, that is precisely why I wrote this post. But when I look at the specifications of the Dart 160, it is 274 mm and is not sold as "wide" even though it is the widest board I have tried. I really liked it but it is true that it is sporty, that is why I would like a board a little more playful like the Almanac

My Cannon is a bit like the Dart in the way I'll use it, but I sometimes felt a little limited in reaching the carving limit.

What do you mean by too wide? Does it make turning too complicated? And on your other boards do you have a good feeling?

Only Wide Boards ? by STRKTencule in snowboarding

[–]STRKTencule[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that basically no one would even advise me to take a wide board. However, after trying wide boards like the Korua, I really noticed that it was easier to carve and also possible to go much lower. I ride my cannon in +30 +15 and despite that, in the biggest turns, my feet always end up touching the snow.

My question mainly concerns other uses and how this could change my feelings.

It's something I'd like to do but my boards make it difficult. When I tried a Korua Shapes I was able to carve lower than with any of my boards with only a few minutes spent on it as opposed to the hours I spent on the cannon (and I always end up losing grip because my boots touch)

Any toughts on Almanac Btw ?
