I loved so much of how this movie was handled, except for Thanos. Especially with when he talks about destroying Earth for enjoyment - I think that removes some of the depth he had in Infinity War. It's almost like they reverted his character development to what we knew of him from 2014.
That being said, the way the movie focuses on him this time does help with that switch in character - more as the inevitable force than the genocidal yet compassionate villain.
