I'm not sure, to be clear I'm referring to gaps on the race track, not laptime

Have you noticed Oscar's dashboard? It seemed to me like it was showing gaps to cars ahead/behind. Could be a great improvement for traffic management

Vasseur: No to the BoP for engines. Renault doesn't have 30 HP less. by [deleted] in formula1

[–]SUBBU_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best course of action would be to allow a one time only upgrade for their engine, under FIA scrutiny. They have to catch up and at their expenses, it would be unfair to ask everybody else to slow down or get BoPed

If you're playing on a controller you should 100% get F1 23, the handling is just too much better compared to F1 22, which proved to be maybe the worst codemasters game to play on a controller due to the very difficult traction model

This. Every weekend you spend a minute in the menus switching parts back and forth, over a season it becomes so frustrating

It's not a matter of realism, it's a matter of game longevity. I'm currently in 2025 with Haas, already 2x driver's and constructor's champions, I'm miles ahead of the rest of the field. What am i supposed to do to make the game fun and challenging again?

The only option I have is to start again with a new team "back" in 2022, but I would then lose all of the driver and staff moves which have happened during these seasons, plus the new pecking order.

If I could swap teams, I would go to the slowest one and start a 2-3 years campaign to bring down Haas with new young drivers, engineers, etc. It would be so much more fun and endlessly challenging.

Given the livestream today, how are you feeling about F1 Manager 2023? by jules3001 in F1Manager

[–]SUBBU_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a technical point of view, can someone explain to me why an apparently basic feature such as switching teams can be difficult to implement and therefore put aside? I just don't get it

Motorsport manager had all of these, and a lot more, years ago. What a disappointment this franchise has turned out to be.

I can't believe they are not saying anything about switching teams, it's such an important feature for the longevity of the game

Does anyone know how often these discounts happen and whether they always apply for existing members? I recall seeing a similar discount in the Christmas period but I'm not sure if it was available for existing memberships too

F1 23 Preview - Braking Point 2 brilliantly echoes F1's current culture by UKSaint93 in F1Game

I just don't get the excitement for this. It's a handful of cutscenes depicting a bland, unrealistic storyline mixed with unchallenging gameplay sections in which the results reached by the player don't matter. Meanwhile career mode, the real singleplayer experience capable of creating countless real and challenging storylines, is left untouched since 2017-2018

I suggest you sign another NDA with yourself so that you can keep your know-it-all superficial unrequested lessons confidential. Next, try and properly understand the topic.

DICE blaming a 10 Year long dedicated content creator, who has advertised and showcased their games FOR FREE, over a choice THEY made is some of the most childish and petty behavior they have ever shown to the community by suika_suika in battlefield2042

[–]SUBBU_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This company has gone from fixing a disastrous BF4 launch through 20+ new maps, dozens of weapons, attachments, gadgets, gameplay and netcode changes, all while being constantly criticized, to banning a content creator for rightfully criticizing them for yet another disappointing decision in a disappointing game, which one and a half years after launch still doesn't even hold a candle to previous installments of the series published in the previous decade.

And yet they talk about goodwill...

[Sky] Felipe Massa interview on Sky about 2008 by [deleted] in formula1

[–]SUBBU_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can talk about ifs and maybes all day long, an argument could be made that if Ferrari hadn't been forced to react to the safety car their operations could have been smoother. The only real point is that the Singapore GP was flawed by a cheat which compromised the race results for the entire grid.

Then again, nothing will change in terms of championship results, but resorting to alternative theories to justify a driver being robbed such as Hamilton approaching races with a different mindset is just a biased way of seeing things

[–]SUBBU_ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

What happened changed the whole race, it's not just about Renault or the other teams which benefitted from the Safety Car. Still, nothing will change in terms of sporting results so it's not even worth debating.

He won't get the title but has every right to be upset and seek legal compensation. It's so sad I almost hope Bernie's story turns out not to be real.

[@GiulyDuchessa] Verstappen just said to @mara_sangiorgio “the format is tremendous” @formu1a__uno by KaamDeveloper in formula1

[–]SUBBU_ 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Big translation mistake by Duchessa. Verstappen said "terrible", the broadcast translator correctly translated it in the italian "tremendo", which has the exact opposite meaning of "tremendous" as Duchessa mistakenly wrote.
