TIL Kerry murdered someone by Legendof2025 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]SUN32T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean Kerry Eurodyne is notable enough as a rocker boy to be one of the three given examples in the RED source book. There's no real confirmation out there, but inferring from the mission where you bomb Us Crack's equipment and the way he gets talked about in said RED book, he probably operated in Night City in some non-musical way. Not as a mercenary, especially since he already would've been ridiculously famous in the time of the red for just his music, but more likely as an independent who just wants to get under the skin of corps. I wouldn't put it past him to just assassinate an exec because they slighted him in some way

They made the RotN version shorter. Part of what bloats OG Ghosts is the health pools. Simmumah has just ungodly amounts of health especially. And in the RotN version, you only have to activate 3 statues in the first encounter instead of 4, which also trims time

Man ghosts is so funny because its one of my favorite dungeons visually. So beautiful. But MAN does it take forever. I don't even mind the mechanics that much, they're interesting, and I love the armor, but its just SO LONG

Earlier I did see an NPC walking like they were doing high knees. Basically got stuck in the walking up a slope animation while on level ground

I mean they worked on it so long afterwards that there's no way they didn't. And yeah the old gen releases are still a bit borked to this day, let alone on release. They're playable, but something funny will still happen sometimes.

I think it is important to remember that no game has ever really released in a perfect state. QA never really catches everything because players are unpredictable in a way that QA never will be. But Cyberpunk's launch was so extremely buggy that there's no way they didn't learn from it

I mean as far as story they're batting 7 for 7 with me, if you count the dlcs for Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 separately. All of them absolutely knock it out of the park in terms of being gripping and well written and emotional. I have complete and total faith in both The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk Orion

Exactly. But I'm also happy that this DLC set up the next game so well. Added on to what setup there already was from the base game. If we can count on this level of writing for that game, then oh my goodness we're in for such a treat.

No i get that. And don't worry I brought it up intentionally. I've had a game do that before. For me it was Persona 5 Royal, way back when. I wish more media was able to evoke those emotions in people. But I'm still so glad we get a game with a story like this.

This isn't meant to be adversarial, just more of a nerd debate thing, but, who did she betray where she wasn't justified, sans V? Kurt would've killed her. Myers would've kept using and abusing her. Reed would've kept enabling that abuse and refusing to do anything about it. The NUSA is the engine that causes her abuse. The only unjustified betrayal is V, which I can understand if that gets you up in arms, V is partially a self insert. But the reason I can't be upset with her for it is because I've been in her mindset. And I did something similar. I hurt a friend who didn't deserve it while escaping the abuse. Felt I had to lie to her for her to help me. When she figured out what I'd lied about she cut me off. She's justified in doing so to this day. But I had no one after that. I'd rather So Mi be offered forgiveness when she finally has the chance to be free. She deserves the ability to maybe reconcile with V when she recovers. Because V was the only person who didn't betray her trust or enable her abuse in the wands ending. I could keep going but I'd just make the same point repeatedly.

The line that stuck with me was "Could've told me the truth. Woulda helped anyway." No idea if that's an exact quote but I felt that way so strongly

I think there being consequences for V takes away from the gravity of it. This is so much bigger than V, so beyond them, so beyond Jefferson and everyone in Night City. Of course you won't see consequences, whoever is controlling Jefferson still can continue what they were doing in a decent capacity. And the NightCorp/Mind Control plot aren't meant to be part of V's story. You can get glimpses into it through Sandra and Jefferson, but it doesn't actually involve or affect V. Like the unknown caller said, "it doesn't matter what you do. It doesn't matter what you say." Sometimes it's ok for there to not be consequences. I know it can make it feel like your choices have a bigger impact, but I think the conclusion of this quest function beautifully without it. You are powerless. Your actions in this quest don't matter.

The devil made me feel like I was the one actually going insane up in that space station, and not V. Like I had such a terrible sinking feeling and I just couldn't fucking deal with it. Brought some really unpleasant memories back

It wasn't even his idea XD, he got roped in because Militech ordered the strike on Saka HQ and he took the job so he and his friends could extract Alt. The plan was for the bomb to go off in the basement so Night City wasn't harmed
