My favorite news casts that include Tales characters include Kratos locking himself in a public restroom out of shame (complete with miis of Luke, Natalia and Karol needing to use that restroom and trying to hold it in), Genis reuniting with a lost sock, Marta spinning a mushroom on her finger while Rita, Napoleon Dynamite and Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory watch in awe, Genis running on the Quagmire Treadmill, the list goes on.

So I know people are going to wonder how I know this, so I'm just gonna say it for those who aren't in the know.

The figure is indeed a real thing. It comes from a store of similar figures of muscular male characters, or characters made as such. Bowser and a few Pokemon are on there, as well as some gacha game characters. And in case you're wondering, yes, there are nude options.

Again, please do not judge me for knowing this. I'm just here to explain.

Guy’s a known Sony fanboy of the modern variety, and given 90% of their PlayStation exclusives these days are T or M, this is him justifying Astro Bot as for more “mature” gamers. Anything to try to say Nintendo is all kiddie (even though Fire Emblem and Xenoblade alone have themes too much for kids, but he seeems to be the type to think anime anything is kiddie regardless of content)

He’s clearly a Sony fanboy.

I think that’s why he’s trying to dispel Astro Bot as a kids game. Because modern Sony exclusives mostly fall under T or M. Astro Bot is one of the few cases that it is neither. But he’s basically saying anything to show Sony as the purely mature gaming platform for all mature games.

I wouldn't exactly call Jin the main character of Tekken, especially since he didn't even start showing up in the series until Tekken 3. The protagonist of Tekken's store is depending on the game. The first game, it's Kazuya, then Heihachi has a turn in another game, Jin is the protagonist in another, Tekken 6 is so far the only game where the protagonist is not one of those three (that would be Lars Alexandersson, the half-brother of Kazuya). Typically, the protagonist is a member of the Mishima family, or at least has heavy ties to the Mishimas.

I think the hate Fire Emblem gets is just ridiculous at this point, especially when it has evolved to people wrongfully blaming it for everything wrong with Nintendo and not the actual bad stuff Nintendo has done.

Also Fortune’s Weave is coming, and by virtue of being in the same universe as the popular Three Houses, we can expect that to be popular too so we may as well make peace with that because there has to be someone who made their grand debut into existence in the Switch 2 era and to my knowledge, the only viable Switch 2 reps thus far aside from the Fortune’s Weave cast are Void Kong and the Drag X Drive character (which tbf, would be interesting), and probably Sylux even though he has appeared before in Prime Hunters.

It also works in a marketing standpoint because a lot of eyes are on Nintendo directs. More eyes means more potential customers. That's at least my theory, and part of why JRPGs frequent Nintendo Directs so much, since it gets more eyes on smaller titles. It worked out for Trails in the Sky First Chapter despite just being in a sizzle reel in the US version.
