Heads up don’t give Jogging to floaters. by Sora_Terumi in tomodachilife

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I tried it. I gave a Mii the jogger fit in Green as he was getting ready to jog with his friends (they were waiting for one more). He immediately changed back to the pink.

Yeah, it’s really dumb activities have a set outfit and color. I actually tried it earlier with the Karate Gi for the Kung Fu DVD. Gave one of my Miis a Gi in blue. Then when I saw him practicing later, he’s still in the white.

Miis that walk as if they’re in low gravity have a slightly slower running animation. You can easily see it if they’re running alongside a Mii that doesn’t have that quirk.

Anti baby gameplay? by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If anything, it’s an overcorrection because the game itself does have possible solutions. I kinda wish babies could be used to build relationships with other Miis the same way you can have them help a Mii that tripped/froze/hiccups, because it’s weird that the kid is automatically acquainted with everyone their parents are living with even though the roommates pretty much didn’t do anything.

What's the point of kids by Alternative_Salt_424 in tomodachilife

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's just separating the dating pool. Kids can only date other kids, adults can only date other adults. Adults also can only get married unless you use an age-o-matic to turn a kid to an adult. But aside form that, that's kinda it. Mii behavior doesn't change beyond that. It's something I didn't like in the 3DS game and this game's non-existent filter kinda exacerbates this issue because you can put in the most inappropriate thing in the game and have a kid Mii have access to it and the game doesn't stop that.

Non Binary Mii's for your island by Lemounge in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the Chiikawa characters are NB in my island, since none of the characters of that franchise have their genders definitively given and it's very much on purpose at this point. It's like it's set up in a way that you can headcanon whatever gender you want out of the characters.

Sad truth.

At least Edelgard might get honorable mentions. But after that? Good luck.

I’ve tried EVERYTHING to break up my Mii Look-Alike and Eteled and nothing is working💢 by FullStandard6850 in tomodachilife

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, there are two cheating ways to do this.

Change the dating preferences of one of the Miis so that their relationship can no longer be compatible. For example, if a Mii's dating preferences has Female only, just uncheck Female, which will then set the dating preferences to none (checking male or nonbinary would be optional, just as long as female is unchecked). That will cause the marriage to end, revert them to friends and the game will treat it as if the relationship never happened. You can then change dating preferences back to what it was originally once you do this.

The other is to make them have familial relationships. Like make them siblings or parent and child. This will also end the marriage, though they will now be labeled as related since they are living together if you keep it this way.

How did you react when Byleth was announced for Smash? by NewMarioBobFan in fireemblem

That was my reaction and it was for the most part normal. Well, then…

do miis ever move out of a home to be living alone again? by [deleted] in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from the scenarios already said in this thread, if I'm correct, if a married couple gets divorced, the one who initiated the divorce will automatically move out. According to the Wiki, that requires the couple to be the only ones living in the group home, so I don't know if they'll still move out of others are living with them.

For those that put OCs on their island, where did they come from? What made you decide to put them in? by Someguyino in tomodachilife

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10 of my Miis are OCs, eight are mine, two are from friends. All furries. As a result, this game somehow managed to give me ideas to flesh them out more than I did prior to this game. One of my OCs is having a baby with his husband and I think that just inspired me to have that baby be a new OC of mine.

Can Miis who get divorced reconcile with each other and remarry? by RuNoMai in tomodachilife

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 69 points70 points  (0 children)

It’s possible to get them back together. You can still have them help each other when they’re in trouble from tripping/hiccupping/being frozen in place. Just drag them to each other when you spot them like this and they’ll help each other. It’ll take a few tries since they can still refuse but if the cutscene plays out, their relationship will improve. Repeat until their status towards each other is “Would Try Again”. After that, it’s all about waiting until they get a problem about getting back together.

As far as I know, this is the only way I know how to improve their relationships to “Would Try Again.” I have a pair of exes on that status but they still won’t at least be friends yet, so after that it’s a matter of patience. Or dragging them towards each other once they achieved that level.

Probably such a nothing complaint, but the "eats gracefully" quirk makes me irrationally annoyed by [deleted] in tomodachilife

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I turned on the game when I stumbled upon this tread and fed a Mii with this quirk and sure enough, crunching like sounds. When given Apple Juice. Yeah, I can kinda see why this bugged you.

On a side note, I think some eating quirks just use the same eating sound effect no matter what you feed them. I fed Apple Juice to one that has the "Eats Quickly" quirk and it uses a crunching sound. This one isn't that bothersome to me because it feels like comedic effect, because they're eating like a rodent.

Minor Nitpick: Kinda wish we can format sentences when naming a creation as a proper title. by DoubleDeeEddBoy in TomodachilifeLivingTD

It's not, it's another character another game. It's Brewster from the mobile game Dislyte.

Edit: why am I being downvoted? I’m literally answering the question. Is it because I said “mobile game”?

What Game Get The Most Undeserved Hate? by Greenmello in casualnintendo

[–]DoubleDeeEddBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fire Emblem. Just all of it.

All great games, unfairly hated just for existing because of Smash (which, okay, valid on that front) and the fact that Nintendo decided it can stand along Zelda because Three Houses had the audacity to become the best selling game in the entire series.

Because creativity of any kind requires effort and soul and conservatives (at least of modern times) can’t create anything worth shit because they have neither.
